Hello, complete newbie here.

I'm trying to follow basic tutorial pdf for Dicktator G9:

  1. Add a Genesis 9 default male. Lets say Matt.
  2. Select Matt.
  3. Smart Content > Dicktator G9 > 00-Manual Setup > 0-G9 Selector script
  4. ¿No material copy script? Odd. OK, let's run 3A-Dicktator Shell and 3B-Dicktator Foreskin Shell scripts.

Nothing more done, and this is the problem:

Texture seems not properly applied at the seam between the body and the shaft.

If tried to run 6_Shell Fix Omni script over the two generated shells (Shell and Foreskin) and apparently nothing is done.

How can I fix that?

That missing textures means the materials have not been copied yet. The shell only covers the actual genital, not the so much the connective tissue between the torso and the genital.

Try this.

After selecting your G9 character/figure , navigate to the Dicktator G9 folder in the content library. Select 1-Dicktator_Smart , then 2-Dicktator_MaterialCopy. That should usually do it. Less steps than the G8 version.

I've got the Dicktator G9 folder in my favorites(right-click on folder in the Content Library and select "Create Custom Action...") to get there fast.

Thank you aiwoiut, but I don't see any of the scripts you mention. Actually I miss many of the scripts mentioned in the tutorial PDF.

I may be searching in the wrong place of Daz3D. So far, I've been using Smart Content tab and the setup scripts I see are those of the next capture:

As you can see, there are no 1-Dicktator_Smart nor 2-Dicktator_MaterialCopy scripts.

I've tried to search in the other folders (from 00.. to 04...) without look. I've tried to use the searcher too, from the Dicktator G9 folder, without any result. Looking at the base Dicktator G9 returns me the whole bunch of content from the folders underneath.

Actually, if I use the file browser to search those scripts then they seem to be installed. Both scripts are present, with .dse and .duf extensions, at the path:

C:\Users\Public\Documents\My DAZ 3D Library\People\Genesis 9\Anatomy\Dicktator

And material copy script appears too at:

C:\Users\Public\Documents\My DAZ 3D Library\People\Genesis 9\Anatomy\Dicktator\00-Manual Setup

But I don't get to find them through Daz3D.

¿How do you display them in Daz3D?

On the next tab down on the left under Smart Content - Content Library. Use the following path. My Library-People-Genesis 9- Anatomy- Dicktator

In that folder you will find the files to add Dicktator and copy the materials. (I have never found Smart Content to be very smart. This is the way to find the content directly in your library.)

As you can see in my last capture, under "Smart Content" and "Content Library" tabs I have "Draw Settings", "Render Settings" and "Simulation Settings".

None of those settings tabs seems to offer the path you told me.

Click on the 'Content Library' tab. You should see a folder tree on left and a file area on the right as in my image.

There it is! You were right!

I executed Smart and Copy scripts and the issue was fixed.

Thank you very much aiwoiut and haruchai :)

So I'm also looking for help, but tangentially related...

I load the material, and it works fine, but when I load the shell it just loads one of the texture presets and the dick doesn't match anymore. In my case, its a pale and filthy skin texture, loaded with a healthy pink geoshell.  GP doesn't work this way. The material copies just fine on that, and 99/100 everything looks good. Dicktator does a decent job of blending the body into the totally out of place skin, I'll give it that, but, its still totally out of place.

Do we just have to settle for whatever the default textures are, or is there a way to get the shell and the body to match?

The supplied Shell textures are just basic textures and meant to match a large set of base textures. Eventually Meipe usually releases something like Texture Wizard for Dicktator and Pussy Wizard for Golden Palace with a bunch of texture presets to match some of the various character texture released, but until then you just need to make due with the more generic shell textures provided. There is also Pumping Pole Palette which includes some character presets along with different tones to apply.
