Not sure about posting this, but here goes...
I recently had a scare and was hospitalized this past week with a life threatening infection caused by dialysis.
I don't think this would matter to most people here since I don't post often in the forums or gallery. However, I have communicated with a few people herein and a few people are following my gallery. My intention is to simply let them know what probably happened to me should I disappear. It is possible that I could lose my battle with kidney disease and check out permanently while waiting for a kidney transplant. Doing my best to ensure this doesn't happen.
But there you have it. Should I disappear this is most likely the reason why.
Hope to be around for many years yet and to keep posting artwork.
Best wishes everyone.

In the same boat fella, heart issues brought on by being diabetic.... I also already told my followers the same thing you have, just not as publicly, until now....
Hope it all works out for you....

Best wishes to you. Our time is limited on this planet, so make the most of it.

I always say don't take life too seriously. Enjoy it to the best that you can. Stay in the positive! Lighting the way to the dark side

@ Fixer... Very sorry to hear that you are in a similar situation due to diabetes. Stay well.
Do you think I made a social mistake posting this? The way your post read to me made me wonder. People have disappeared in other forums I've participated in who were very active and I've wonder why. Didn't want to leave anyone wondering. Perhaps I am making another social mistake.

No mate, you're not making a mistake if it's how you feel, personally I think it's a good thing to let people know. I've followed artists on here for years, just to see them stop posting for who knows what reason, it's good to know....
I followed an artist here called Quoom, very skillful what he used to do with older versions of Poser, then suddenly, Pfft, gone....!

It's a good, and positive thing to make this statement for the people that follow you.
I hope you have more time with us!
Most importantly, I hope you feel well.

This is a very important thread!
Fixer; You make a great point about people disappearing.
------------------------------------------------------
In my case I'm suffering serious visual problems (Imagine saying to a relative "There's this site I used to go to, Could you post a farewell for me)
Then I have to tell them what type of site it is... Oops!
So If I just stop posting (Or my work gets really crappy) - Now you will know why...
But, Carpe that Diem!!! Edited by user Friday, March 11, 2022 6:44:35 PM(UTC)

These exact thoughts about relatives have been running through my mind. ;-) One of the reasons I started this thread.
I've also been fighting to keep my eyes healthy despite the diabetes. Hoping your visual problems don't grow worse
