Hey all!

For years I've been looking for a good concrete shader that looks like it's currently being poured. Think concrete shoes, or new foundations. Every one I've seen looks like it's already cured and is hard. Anyone have suggestion for wet and mixed concrete?

Just a though but how about adding a gloss map to one of those concrete mats?
Wet concrete tends to just look wet in places and dry in patches so an even all over gloss would probably be unnatural.
I'm just here by mistake, for a friend, for science... anyway you can't prove nuffin'.

Hmmm...

Wet concrete is darker then dry concrete, so try darkening your shader/material.

I agree with Digital_Mercury... You need to increase the glossiness to give the shader/material a wet look.

If the concrete hasn't been smoothed yet try playing with the bump map to make the concrete lumpy or sandy.

Just some thoughts. ;-)

Are you looking for a material that can look like concrete being poured? Have you considered this?

Hmmm.... For wet concrete poured Id think a regular concrete shader (https://www.daz3d.com/concrete-shaders) darkened base color, slight increase in gloss, then maybe a top coat with a large patchy noise map or something like the (Colm Jacksons?) After Rain puddle plane, dialed down on gloss and up in roughness.

For being poured. I think id go at it geometrically. Blender has new particle geometry nodes I have yet to personally check out but may be of use for your purpose. Otherwise playing with the strength and size of noises on the bump map.

Concrete Shoes, like blocks? https://www.daz3d.com/blocks-and-structures  Wet concrete shoes, Id probably look at mud shaders and just change the color to gray, which may be another route for you.

These are all excellent suggestions! I'll give them a try. Looks like I'll have to watch some more online tutorials now...
