Hello,

I have sconces in a room I would like to emit light. Is there such a thing for Poser or is it a Daz thing?

Thanks,

Bowiefan

Yes.

On the properties tab, make sure the item has "light emitter" button checked.

The level and color of light output is controlled by the materials "ambient color" setting.  Go higher than a setting of 1 to get it brighter.

You have to use Superfly render engine, it won't work in firefly.

Hope this helps.

I lied, it will work with firefly, you just have to make sure "indirect lighting" is checked in the render settings. You can fiddle with the indirect light quality slider, too.

Hey Davo! Always good to hear from you.
Well this is the problem. I had a room commissioned and the wall lights are part of the entire room as is a counter. It is one obj. I tried inserting tiny lights borowed from candles to see if that works. It sort of does.

Yikes, do they have their own material zones? That's where you would apply the ambient color setting.

Yes it does, but I tried working with it. I wish I would have asked for them to be separate props. The little Poser bulbs work ok for now.
His test version looked so good in Daz.
