Has anyone encountered this?

I bought an asset from Daz with two zip files to be downloaded: outfit and templates. I downloaded both to an external hard drive, my universal download location (drive A), then copied them to my Genesis 8 folder on a second external drive where I keep my Daz assets (drive B). There I unzipped them. To my surprise, the zip containing the templates produced only errors. Back I went to drive A where the template zip unzipped without issues. Then I tried to copy and paste the unzipped folder to drive B. This operation copied only the topmost folder; the nested folders were empty.  No files were copied to drive B, even though the template files were present in the folder on drive A. The template files simply vanished during the copy operation.

Has anyone had a similar experience?

Nothing quite like that, but once I purchased a drive with faulty electronics, which I only discovered after I transferred a large number of files to the new drive and deleted the originals.

It made me bitter, it did...
