Cannot use RealGens G8 shield visible

I cannot figure out how to eliminate the white triangle shield from character when applying RealGens on G8 with Michael 8 character and mats. The only documentation is the text file and I have followed that exactly.
Will these mats work on the basic genital set for Michael 8 since the prop won't work ?
