Hi there, my last 3 picture submissions got removed. Has anybody an idea why this happened? Any help is appreciated :-)

What was in the images? Did you read the TOS? Did the images violate any of the rules?

While I cannot answer as to WHY images were removed I can tell you that anytime this happens you will get either a site mail about the images OR an email sent to the email address tied to your account, make sure to check your spam folders if this happens as some email providers like to toss our mails into spam because the word "erotic" is in our site name / email itself (rendEROTICa)


With that all said,  did your image contain a link or watermark to a 3rd party website that takes money (paysite, P a t r e o n, etc)  was it a mix of a real life copyrighted image and 3D, could any of the subjects in the images be seen as being under the age of 18?  any of these will get your images removed as they are all violations of our TOS.

I didn't remove them. However if the age was suspect, link or references to paysites or the like will result in removal.

Thx for your help. 
I found some emails in my spamfolder. Seems the Lesens.a... tag caused the problem. I m a german scifi and fantasy author and lesens.a... is the adress of my author website. I m using the quill and book logo a lot and didn t think it would cause any trouble but ok, your lawn, your rules. I removing the other pics and the logo from my profil. Maybe I will reupload some of the pics later again with another tag.

I think if it was the logo alone... all of your pics would have been removed  are you sure it was nothing else.

also had few pics removed because of my website tag in it... maybe rethink this rule, seems a bit odd in 2019 :)

Isn't there also still a daily 10 image upload limit? Ran afoul of that once some years ago, and had several images removed.

personal / non commercial links have and (as far as I know) will continue to be fine,  but when you have PAID LINKS (IE: links leading to sites where money can be spent / buy now buttons / membership subscriptions, shopping carts etc) those will and will always be a no go as those are considered to be commercial links.


If you think about it I'm sure you can understand the reasons for this, but for a quick explanation, those links are "3rd party ads" and you are utilizing the traffic of the site to funnel over to another site to charge them money and avoid the sales split of our marketplace.

Links in Blog & Forum Posts, Images & their descriptions, Comments: Renderotica strictly prohibits the use of any promotional URLs regardless of whether the URL directs to a personal or non-commercial website.


Since we cannot control when an artist decides to convert their personal website to a commercial enterprise it has become impossible for us to manage the previously open policy regarding image links.

Why are personal / non-commercial links allowed in your Personal Settings and not elsewhere?  Because if the link needs to be removed or edited it can be done so in ONE place whereas every single submitted image, blog, forum post, or comment containing the link would need to be removed or edited.



Informational Links:
Informational URLs are immune from this links policy. The management reserves the right to determine the distinction between informational and advertising URLs.



Penalty:
Violations of this policy will result in removing blogs, gallery and forum posts, web links and/or images containing off-site URLs. Repeated violation or refusal to comply will result in banning.
