Speaking for myself and prob others, it was a money issue.

I started way back with Poser 3 in 1998 and I created and sold only Poser add-on's, while many people started switching over to Daz, I stayed with Poser,  I ended up staying until I barely made enough to call "beer money" and then I finally switched over to Daz around 2015 and I've been a Daz content seller ever since.

I really did love Poser, and I was sad when the sales got less and less and less, but i made the switch I had to, to keep making a living from this.

I DO give kudos to those still making amazing stuff with Poser.

I have noticed some sites have policies restricting vendors from charging lower prices on any competing site. That and each site has their own policy of what percentages are taken by the sites. taken together these may explain the higher prices

This echoes my own experience almost to a tee. I still use Poser privately, and all my old Poser products for V4 and M4 are still in my store here, if anyone is interested in them. But there simply isn't any money in creating new things for the Gen 4 figures anymore. This is a hobby for me rather than a full-time occupation, but I would be lying if I said money wasn't an issue whatsoever.
