(Note....All these images are AI generated.  The US supreme court has recently decreed that AI images cannot be copyrighted.  We can do want we want with them including share them with abandon.)

I know that a lot of us here enjoy the mechanical bondage and torture themes.  We buy all those fun toys from Davo and others.  Here's an idea to broaden the offerings.  How about 'kits' that would allow us to make our own gizmos?  I've been scouring sites like CgTrader, Blendswap and the many Sketchup sites for free (or downright cheap) gears, pulleys, levers, stanchions, flanges, hydraulic pistons, and well...pretty much anything mechanical that can be stuck together in Blender to make my own vision of a fun toy for my girls.  The toys in these pictures look ominous but notice that they wouldn't actually work.  Nothing connects the way gears and pulleys do in real life, but they don't have to.  As long as they LOOK ominous, serious and threatening, they've succeeded.  Collections of mechanical items that could be cobbled together might be a hit here.  A vendor could make add-ons with knives, nails, spikes, dildos and your-imagination-is-the-limit.
(More on this theme...)

Here's another set of ideas.  The wooden one is fun because it features knives (as far as I can tell).  I love the handcrank attached to the gears.  This gives it a personal touch, something I enjoy and which I feel is missing in many torture items.  The third one shows a willing (and enthusiastic) victim enbedded in the guts of an ominous machine.

This theme features saws, variations of the 'sawing a lady in half' idea that's so popular with magicians.  What I like about the magic theme is that it can be played (or presented) differently.  It can be fun and not-really-dangerous, dark and ominous 'for real', or something in between depending on how it's presented.  I enjoy the over-complicated machines or gizmos, especially with the steampunk theme.  A bit of texturing can change the machines from bright, white and clinical to pink and cutsey-wootsey and finally to dark, somber and threatening.   Again, these set-ups wouldn't actually work, they just look the part.  Anyone wanting them to look like they'd actually work (like me) could spend a fun evening sticking gears and other mechanical bits into the fray for that realistic touch.

Here's a few variations of the ever popular guillotine idea.  I like the long and thick blade, it reminds me of a wood chisel.  In the first image, the center image is particularly intriguing because of the wooden cradle or container for the victim's head.  The way the blades are suspended means they wouldn't work but that's a product of AI.  It doesn't 'know' what's realistic or not, it's simply predictive.  Overall though, they're fun and interesting.  Putting the upright (the gizmo that holds the blade) on rollers so that it could be moved to variopus positions might also be fn and open some new posibilities.

Ok folks...this is the last one and thanks for staying with me so far.  The first image showcases a personal favourite of mine....rollers or whatever-the-heck-you-wanna-call-it.  I just love this idea and it's being presented in that fun and not-really-dangerous magic act theme.  As a kit with lots of morphs, this has got a world of possibilities.  The rollers could change size and/or be equipped with blades, spikes bumps or anything of any size.  You could have more that one set of rollers.  Gears and drive pullys could be attached to the end of the rollers or you could have a handcrank for that personal touch.  I like how this version is on a conveyor belt which will slowly draw the eager victim through the rollers.  What fun!
The last pictures depict a couple of sword/spike boxes.  The head spike box is my favourite here.  The AI has messed up the knives but the idea still comes across.  I particularly enjoy that the box is somewhat ornate.

All of these ideas could easily be offered as kits or accessories to the basic idea of 'build-yer-own' fun toys.  As I mentioned at the start, there's already a hard drive choking selection of basic items (many with open usage licenses) that could be used as a base.

The pictures came from a variety of Deviant Art sites. I was surprised to find that the magicians theme is quite popular. There's a few people there who make props in Blender for Studio and sell them on Rendo (mostly). There's another gent who goes by the nym 'Macabre Magician' who has a bunch of fun magic toys he gives away for free. The advantage of AI is that it allows people to visualize magic toys without the grunt work of making models in Blender.
Thanks for taking the time to reply.

I'd point out that Macabre Magician "had" an account on DA. It's deactivated, so only images that reference their work exist. What was left looked pretty cool though. Some of those murder machines (the pics above) are a tad disturbing, but to each their own.
