Just went to post a gallery image for the first time in a while and saw this message on the upload files step:

New Gallery Posting Guidelines: Please Review (No Nudity)

The post linked is from July 18 of this year.

So is this for real? No nudity on an erotic CG website? Not sure how I'm going to thread THAT needle! I'm hoping this is just a technical glitch and not something more alarming...

I would think that that only pertains to the CGBytes Gallery, since Rotica is adult oriented.

In the past 8 or so hours there has been nude imagery in the galleries, I would think it would be taken down by now if that was the case.

That applies to CGbytes Terms
Not Renderotica Terms https://www.renderotica....ity/CommunityPolicy.aspx

So what does that mean? No nudity in the store?

Edit: I see now that it only applies to CGBytes, not Renderotica, so that makes MUCH more sense.

LOL

I haven't posted on the R'Otica gallery in years, but I give a quick read of the new rules, and my first thought was WTF?

So you can use all kinds of nudity and sex act images to promote a product, but no more such for those of us who use the products to make images of precisely what they were made to look like?

I wonder what the behind the scenes dealings went on to produce these new rules changes?

The nudity ban is strictly for CGbytes.com. You can find the rules for Renderotica image posting, here.

CGbytes has always been a SFW (Safe For Work) website, but we allowed artistic nudity. Our legal team has recommended that our policy change for CGbytes.com, so the policy has been changed there only. The Catalog and Gallery on Renderotica have NOT been affected by this policy change.

CGbytes and Renderotica use the same submission form, which is why it's visible when submitting images on Renderotica. If you have questions, you can submit a Contact Us form, or email [email protected] and someone will get back to you during regular support hours.
