What or where is the best to showcase my work on this website? I'm looking to create a website (not for monetary gain) but just a place to promote my work.

I'm thinking the gallery section but just wanted to see if there was place on the forum that users post their work to get feedback from.

thanks

Yeah... heavy sigh... you'll get slapped down for cross promoting any site here. No ulrs on your images, no www.dots, it's sad. I could be wrong but I already had to edit a bunch of my images to remove an external url on my copyright.

Now, if you straight up post an image in the gallery and ask for comments, but don't mention another site, you should be good to go.

I can certainly understand why some might feel it's unfair for Renderotica to prohibit external site links or references to other sites if they don't fully understand the reason for the rule. This site is for both consumers and for Content Artists who work at creating products that others can purchase and they have chosen to sell their products on this site. If we allowed links or references to other sites it would open the door to people who have no intention of selling their products here and attempt to lure purchasing members to their site or another site where their items are available or to free sites, (aka pirate sites) The rule is in place to help protect our Content Artists who have chosen to use our platform to promote and sell their work.

If a member is trying to showcase their work, that's what the Gallery is for. On every image, if a viewing member appreciates the art, they can click on the artist's name and it will take them to the artist's profile. There, you can have one Homepage url so long as it doesn't go to a commerce site. Your "Signature" can encourage people to check your profile for more information. As a regular member, you can post a Blog or as a Premier Advantage Member you can create Membership Galleries where other members would have to purchase access with points in order to view the images. Those points can be used as credit when making purchases.

There are options for members to use to expose their work, but we will not allow our content artists to be siphoned from by external links.
