If you are a seller and your products are being inserted by these motherfuckers on pirate sites, follow the steps below:


1) Create an account at https://www.dmca.com  (its free, your cheapskate!!)
2) Next, create a protection seal https://www.dmca.com/Protection/ManualAdd.aspx
3) After, copy and do not miss the urls (because you will send them to the hosting services)
4) Send an email with the following text to the server where your pirated files are:


 


1 - I (Insert your real name), affirm to anyone of interest that the material hosted by INSERT THE HOST NAME in the link provided, DOES NOT have rights or authorization from me, that I am the creator of the products / models, to be distributed in free and illegal.
2- I declare that all information is accurate and truthful, under penalty of perjury. And, being the creator of the work / model, I have all the rights under it, so I state that I DO NOT authorize the distribution.

INSERT YOUR SITE / PAGE (if you have it)
Phone INSERT YOUR PHONE
Adress: INSERT YOUR ADRESS AND ZIP CODE

HERE YOU PUT THE PIRATE LINKS (attention, do not put the link of the pirate motherfucker page, insert the HOST link, megaupload, rapidshare, mediafire, etc ...

If hosted on google drive, you will must open a formal request (click on the 3 point in top right side of the screen to report abuse) and put the request dates in fields, will appear a page similar like this:

I suggest that you are not sloppy, and think that it’s over... I suggest that you keep monitoring the pirate sites every 1 or 2 days, as the children of whores usually repost new links, but in any case it’s up to you, after all it’s up to you your work, mine I monitor every day!
Do not be fooled by the help of the owners of the sale sites, as they do nothing about it! Do yourself your job, unless you don’t care thieves to earn money at the expense of your work, and your sales decrease

thank you for all this data..   It will save time for those new guys out there that are unfamiliar with the copyright infringement paperwork


There are a couple things to add here.


A certain Russian site that will not be named here does not abide buy any notices  of copyright infringement. They even boast about it on their webpages.  


Next,  these download sites like rapid gater are very nice about complying with copyright Infringement  and when sites do comply they always find ways to circumvent your request and a few months later your stuff may be upo again.. The upload sites will have a different URL and allow new downloads  so lite the pirated sites you have to repost your request.


Yes it's a never ending battle  but you must be vigilent

I never even thought people would be pirating stuff from this site or anything for Daz for that matter. For the amount of work you guys put in, the prices are very fair in comparison to other media out there. What douche wouldn't want to support the people that help them make their art / stories come to life.

Sorry this is a thing you content creators are having to deal with.


That info should probably get stickied btw, just my oppinion :) .

There will always be those who feel they should never have to pay for anything and once you post something on the web, even via a web store like Renderotica, then it can be reposted without your permission for the masses to collect.and then repost them again


It's true the prices are very fair here but who can argue with something being handed out for FREE .  You go to these sites and they come back with we post your comics  as a tribute to your great work.  and then they get pissed when you reply a tribute is a few images from the comic and where to go buy them.  


Maybe if we put the price of the comic in the comic themselves people would see just how cheap they are and not boost them in the first place. Something for this site to consider


It's hard to stifle and can quickly spread. My own experience was that I was foolish enough to join some group site who did monthly subscriptions. and suddenly my comics were all over the place.  some not even finished as I was posting chapter by chapter instead of the whole comic. I had some 25 comics and short stories being posted for free and this was way before the Russian site became a problem


I contracted Renderotica's own Doc Legume on the side and explained my problem and for a slight donation to his pay pal account my problem was cleared up in 3-4 months as hs submitted DCMA's on my behalf and created templates for me to use on the next occasion


Nobody wants to admit their stuffs been hacked but it happens quite a lot   Most frees sites abide to a DCMA request and within 48 hours they are removed  with some sites you have to after the upload sites like rapidgator who do abide by the DCMA order

When looking for a webhost for my new site I noticed a few offer "DMCA no response", mainly out of Europe.

My solution will be to not actually bundle my project into a PDF or similar format but create a slideshow experience from the website as an embedded app. Sure they can still steal the pictures but they'll have to do it one by one and will lose the entire experience as the images are also interactable.

An old college friend of mine who spent decades in the adult comic industry was pushing me to publish to print...but yeah that isn't happening.

trust me when I say these individuals who wants everything for free do not care how they download the items.  One Russian site  had some 2000+ comics and they are broken down into page by page jpeg format.  They have almost every fansoradox comic , over a 1000 hentai comics and yes quite of few of pur comics and might I say about 2 dozen of my own stuff from here and another site and all these comics are presented on Jpeg single page format.


Yes it would seem a pain in the butt to download a 40-80 page comic panel by panel but it is free.  They have this huge paragraph at the bottom of the page saying they do not honor any DCMA.  Some sites have a special membership section that is invite only and if you get into it, then you can download comics in PDF format.  O would assume that maybe if you supply them ith a full comic or two you get an invite and that is perhaps why they have so many free comics to begin with.


the free sites that do honor DCMA  all display panel by panel full comics and their download audience just eats it up..   


If I sold comics directly to the public and using my upload website to send comics who dealt with me directly I could encrypt each PDF I send with a password to open it up.  but who is to say that the buyer would not include to password when he post the comic,  Now if I saw this,  I would know who the individual is as long as I kept a list of what password I gave to who and not do business with that person again, but that is a lot of work and I bet there might even be some program to Take a PDF and  run it to screen shot each page of the PDF and recreate all the pages used to create the PDF in the first place


Bottom line is , if someone wants something bad enough for free they will find a way to do it


I issue maybe three DCMA per month to like five sites or some of the upload sites like rapdigator  With the templates I have thanks to Doc Legume (rest his soul)  it just takes about 10 minutes of my time

Interesting about the Russian sites, but I am not surprised.


I guess if one is absolutely needing to generate revenue from their work and that is failing due to pirates, one solution maybe to break the work into parts. And have some kind of gofund me that must be reached before the next part is released.


And yes there are programs for automating pdf passwords as you mentioned and plugins for like wordpress manage them. Not actually a complicated bit of coding, mainly need a API for handling the PDF (which there are plenty) and  a database relation to that and the purchaser.

at of these sites will post parts of a story or chapters and then just sau "ON GOING" 


I think I have been luckier than Most.. The Russian site has a lot of my old stuff when I posted chapters at a subscrition site and they have some TG work I do,  but for the most part my Renderotica stories have not been boosted.. 


One reason why is that every page has my shadoman pen name with the year. Every 10 pages has Shadoman Publications Copyright  + the year and every 15 pages I have a warning that posting my comic without permission is forbidden..  In other words  every page has my name on it in one form or another  and some artists do not do that here.


Bummer about that PDF program  but that is technology for you

Has anyone considered complaining to or issuing a suit against ICANN for allowing DNS services to DMCA violators? If one could put pressure on the ISP (like losing there own domain) I bet things would shape up.


Obama really fucked up when he allowed ICANN to fall under international control though.
