I am sure this is on the "todo" list; but I figured I'd report it anyway. There are new releases in blog posts and there are migrating catalogs, but those items are not appear as "newest" in the catalog tab. I can understand not wanting to flood the newest end of the catalog with a migrated catalog; but even the stuff in the new releases doesn't seam to be there.. well I know they're in the catalog, just not showing up as "newest".

The catalog is actually as it should be :)
Products that are being migrated into the store from other stores are being backdated into our catalog, so they appear in the order they were released, this prevents flooding the main page AND still allows the products to be in both the "what's new" and "top selling"
right now on the main page of "what's new" there are two migrated products, one from Woouk and one from Pushee-Ri because those products were both released very recently on their other marketplaces. if you goto through the what's new pages you will see them sprinkled in (as well as my Loki products we used as the test run for the Migration Program)
This was also done to make sure people knew these were not "brand new products" because if all of these landed on the main page, your first thought could be "oh this must be brand new" especially if you had not seen them at the other stores.
And to make sure enough eyeballs get to these migrated products, new vendors get a week long "Welcome" promo (see the main page top rocker banners) and exisitng vendors get their own week long push as wel (again see the top rocker banners) from today till next Friday both Wouuk and Pushee-Ri will be having various promotions to draw attentiion to their migrated products in their catalogs :)
This will be the same with all new vendors coming in (and let me say, there are a good number paitently waiting in line right now lol) as well as our exisiting Content artists who are brining products here from elsewhere.... except for Loki, I'd much rather use those slots for others then push my vendor products out, besides I'm too busy to make my own promos and whatnot lol.
Hope that answers your questions and you see the vision we have for these promos :)

Correct, Recent Releases are pretty much 3-4 months behind of the "newest" releases, I set it up like that years ago as a way to give a "second look" at products that had went through the first xx pages of the "what's new" so if people missed them the first time around they have that second shot with the Mon, Wed, Fri blogs. When I got back here in mid May I did the same thing, went back enough pages to span a few months and started plotting out posts, they would have returned quicker but we decided to pause them during our checkout issues, but now that that's all settled for 3D Products I can have those blogs running again.
Those rocker banners on the main page of here and CGbytes are a totally diff story lol, there could be a product released "yesterday" last month or 5 years ago, I just try to have a good mix of character, pose, scene, etc and run them for 7 days, and we'll be mixing in special ones like the "Welcome" series and the "Artist Spotlights" or like the "Moonlight Market" from last week, both sites have their own 6 unique promos that will rotate around every Friday (unless we have welcome / spotligt promos already in place)
