Since DeepSpace3D left, and significantly took their toys with them it seems to me that there is a major niche to be filled by somebody with the skill set to do so.

The alien beastie, sentient or semi-sentient. Possibly with tentacles somewhere. Doing unspeakable things to hapless Genesis (hopefully G9) figures.

Heck, more variations in plant life with interesting reproductive cycles would be welcome.

Or... perhaps something in a morphable slime? Now that would be quite cool. This now that I think of it is my top ask/want.

Perhaps these are faint hopes, but a guy can dream can't he?

There are some amazing creatures at daz, the cock-o-rama here at renderotica is a perfect genital you can stick on them, seems to work for me.

I was having a discussion with myself just earlier about how I should "make more monsters". I started on a Pigman..... but am open to ALL ideas. If you tell me what you want I can take it into consideration for the next item to make.

Well, in general, the semi-insect type xenotypes. The creations with multiple limbs with extra joints oftentimes but with a touch more detail. I always thought it was a little odd that none of DeepSpace3D's work - the non-humanoid stuff - was devoid of sensory organs—specifically eyes. Different options for skin materials would be nice, but not a deal breaker. Something along the lines of a facehugger with a couple of variations in scaling could be interesting.


Then there's the morphing slime type I brought up. A common trope in certain types of anime, it would have its default form(s) and could extend pseudopods/tentacles that could wrap around or penetrate victims. And of course, the possibility of the slime conforming to the victim's body is always possible. However, I certainly don't claim to know just how technically feasible that might be.

Sounds like fun. I had to take the facehugger and chestburster down from here because of IP, but I can make some craziness with limbs and probing bits for sure.

Late reaction but oh well...


First of all (now remembers the forum rules).. keep in mind that some artists can also do amazing work "making" things more nasty.


Carnomoloch is a nasty critter on the Daz website and yet our very own Sledgehammer "put it to other uses".  Why (re)create a whole new demon when you can just "repurpose" them?


Each to their own but I kinda like that idea: have "them" make awesome critters and then "our team", well, uhm...  get's them "other" things to do? 


Now, I'm not gonna lie: if you ask me Deepspace stood out, big time. But...  there are alternatives on the site. First, a freebie which I really came to enjoy:

^ I like this. Now, a ton of disclaimers go into effect here because with all due.. nah: with the utmost respect: this figure is dated. Very much dated. I'm not even sure it works with Iray (I made it work btw, so it can be done). Also... it doesn't really look very realistic.


C'mon, the product page alone should be enough to realize the age here. But I'm gonna go on the record: dated or not, I still love this product. No, I don't think it can compete against more modern stuff (like the venus fly traps which, ironically enough, are also quite dated now) but it's still a solid product IMO.


Is there any genre in specific you're interested in OP?
