Almost every single time I've made a purchase here I download one or two parts of my purchase before the rest end up as "A Timeout Occurred". Then, maybe a few hours later after wasting a ton of time clicking again and again I can get my shit. This is totally ridiculous. Maybe I should demand my CC refuse to pay the 100 bucks I just spent?

I've never had a problem downloading anything from the store. Considering that I've never heard this complaint in the many, many years I've been here, I'd say that you might have a browser or connectivity problem.

But maybe an admin will chime in. A word of advice: threatening to refuse payment before a resolution is reached is not a good look.

Well, I made the purchase using chrome. I downloaded one pose package and the readme. Then when I tried to download the next package (several files), I got a bunch of cloudfare errors. I purchased several Davo products and...yeah, I tried downloading each of them and their readmes together. So, maybe I shouldn't have expected to be able to download several files at once like I can at every other site?

I tried Firefox. It did fine for one download then cloudfare errors. I'd say it took almost an hour to finally get my purchase. My guess is some bad configuration trying to prevent too many simultaneous downloads. But, I should be able to download my content more than one file at a time, especially if some of those files are readmes.

Will keep that in mind before spending money here ever again.

FWIW, once you get the cloudfare error, nothing at the site works. Just trying to get the site to come up responds the same way as the download, cloudfare error. However, switching to firefox did allow the site to load until I tried downloading more than one or two files. Then, not even the help page would load.

01:35am might be a server mainteance update.

Cloudflare errors could be on their side, your side, or somewhere inbetween.
Could be the site, carrier, or ISP is updating, or is over congested, or you have exceeded your ISPs bandwith.
There is a storm system (Hurricane Beryl Reminants) cutting up the middle of the United States currently.
(Outside the States IDK)

Waiting till a different time, limiting to 3 downloads or less at a time, or running speed tests and possibly changing your ISP connection server location may help.

In any case the Read Me's should already be included within the content folders so you shouldn't need to download them twice.
(In case you have a data cap, Pose files are usually small. Where high def Texture files can be large. So be mindful of file sizes as well.)

I couldn't say anything for sure because it would vary on the data load, time of day, weather conditions, location, net traffic, Service Provider, modem/router setup, too many varibles.

I understand its super fustrating. However, no need to freak just yet.
Just be patient and wait till a little later, try not to overload the download manger, server, or home devices beyond limitations, and you should be ok.
If its 24-48hrs and your still having issues then its a deeper dive into troubleshooting time.

Mamba submitted a Contact Form that was responded to by the support desk with a request for more specific information. We would like to look into this issue, as it's not our policy to create problems for our customers to download their products. Once we get more information on the issue, we can look into it to see if it's something we can correct.

So, I may have submitted the contact form, but I have no idea how I did it or where the contact information is going. I was having a REALLY hard time getting anything at renderotica to work last night and I didn't see anything in any of my email addresses this morning. Do let me know where that message can be found and I will respond.

FWIW, it seems to me that there is some sort of rate limiting happening on your site that is black listing me for trying to download too many files at once. Once that timeout expires (it is in minutes, not seconds) I am able to download again, but am just as likely to have it all start over again, at which point it's another long wait time. This has been going on for quite a while for me, though, I do tend to purchase a number of products at once only a few times a year as opposed to one or two at a time regularly.

As for the actual downloads, yes, I was able to get them all, I believe, but it did take me about an hour, which is WAAAY too long for getting a dozen or so product's downloaded and organized.

The email would have been sent to email address associated with your member account. If you haven't seen the email, then check your spam folder.

We do not have any rate limiting for downloads on our system. We do not have a download blacklist. Like I said before, our goal is not to make to make the process difficult for our customers. Wouldn't have been in business since 1999 if that was policy.

If you haven't located the email, send an email to [email protected] with screenshots of the error pages, times that they happened, so we can check event logs and let us know if you are using a download manager of some kind. Then we can do some investigation.

If anyone else is experiencing similar problems, please take screenshots and make note of the time and send a report to [email protected]. All information is good information.

Sounds like decent support. Please let us know how this turns out.

There are some inconveniences here on the site, things worth improving upon, because I do like the community aspect here and the (to me) wild stuff on offer. Some of the invonveniences are probably almost as old as the site, as other sites (big daz and the hub mostly to me) have improved their design, whereas Rendererotica has done less of that IMHO.

The downloads page has no thumbnails, which is quicker to navigate than by text lines. The daz store makes a similar major mistakes, plus it also does not let you sort by author and typs of product. Figure, environment, poses, comics, clothing, free or not free.

It's also less helpful to make the Readme an actual purchased item cluttering up the downloads list, instead of integrating the documentation in to the general purchased item entry, which itself could pop up in to a new browser tab.

Download limitations, even if they don't exist, the design indicates that they do with the "Reset Downloads" button. Confused was my reaction at first. On the whole the design of the downloads page does requires some streamlining with the simple, laughable purpose of making it incredibly easy to find, study and download your stuff. Rendererotica kinda brings up the rear end here. The others could be better but they are more streamlined.

Thankfully the speed has improved quite a bit over the years :) .

Something doesn't add up here for me.  Because I kinda question the legitimacy of the screenshot.

First.. the timing.

Second... the protocol.

I went here...   let cloudflare expire (forced), then gave into ideals and snakes. Riddle me this: why can I access my stuff without Cloudflare warnings?  Oh, I dunno: 4 months after my last purchase?

Sorry OP.. I know I'm talking well after the facts but...  I'm not buying this; I just don't believe that this is real.

Zen: This shows up for me at times. Usually when site is timing out or seems maintenance is going on. It signals your connection and the middle connecting point cloudflare are up, for me it shows those 2 in the green and site in red, so when it is being worked on or the techs are doing their thang, this pops up from time to time.

Can also vouch that the site has been slow as mud trying to download purchases I bought today. The download itself is fast, but the wait between clicking on the product to download and it starting has been quite slow. I had to refresh the page a few times even.

Thanks for your comment, and I agree I should have been much more clearer up there (always easily said in hindsight 🙄 ...).

I'm not denying the fact that there are connection issues from time to time, but I'm more concerned with the half part screenshot that doesn't really show much details; it fully omits the error and leaves us to assume the rest. That kinda stuck out to me.

The other issue... OP complains about not being able to nab their goodies, yet the URL in the screenshot is a product link, not a download link. And there's a reason why you get warnings about the use of download managers on the download page.

I know it might seem that I'm nitpicking, and that's fair enough, but the thing is... when trying to resolve issues like these then details are everything. I fully understand the frustration when shit like this happens, but even then... try to relax, collect every bit of detail you can, then relay all of that.

Still... in hindsight I should have been a bit more clear and maybe less confrontational, fair enough.

Not nitpicking at all. When I first got the cloudflare issue I was WTF is this... Email admin.
