Hello!

I am a beginner user of Daz Studio, although have been using Blender for some years now, so I am not new to 3D.

I am working for a client on a graphic novel, and we purchased these great assets for breasts and female genitals. The problem is that I am not able to make them work together.

Whenever I load the Golden Palace shell, Breastacular textures break. Maybe it's the normals, I am not sure. This happens also if I load Breastacular after Golden Palace.

I tried to use the shell fix of both add-ons but they don't work.

Does anyone have a workaround on this? I really need to make this work as soon as possible.

This is a known issue with how Daz Studio applies shells, when a shell or multiple shells are active and a graft or grafts are loaded the graft materials are added to the shells, when the graft and shell match there is no problem, but when they don't ie. Golden Palace Shell and Breastacular, or Breastacular shell and Golden Palace, then you end up with the white material showing up as the shell presets doesn't contain texture information for the other grafts so it textures it to the default coloration for a shell.

Easy fix is select the shells in the scene tab one at a time and run the shell fix scripts (This should turn off the added materials on the shell) in the event that doesn't work, again with the shell selected in scene tab, go to parameters tab, click where it says shell, go to the surfaces sub heading and scroll till you find the other grafts materials and turn them off. This will need to be done for all shells if the script doesn't work.

Sadly this is just one of those issues of using multiple shells and according to Daz it is working as intended (I think Daz's ideal usage would be adding a shell via the menu, after everything is loaded and then turning off all unneeded materials either via script or manually, where there is only one shell rather than adding shells specifically for grafts,)

Selecting the Golden Palace Shell and running the Sheel Fix solved the problem.

Thank you very much for the help and the useful insights on how DAZ works with these scripts!

Awesome you got it working and You're welcome.

Personally I wish it would be fixed in Daz Studio and the need for various shell fix scripts and stuff would be unnecessary, since most grafts don't come with shell fix scripts, and if you add a lot of grafts in a scene it is a pain to fix the shells if the scripts don't work.

Specifically thinking of a situation using a succubus character as there are average 3-4 grafts just on the succubus parts, Then whatever genital and other grafts (My standard usage is minimum 2-4 additional grafts, one genital, breasts graft, lickalicious, and depending how much grabbing of flesh there is often Fender Blender,) so depending the succubus could have 5-7 grafts, 2-4 shells, and if the scripts don't work that is 5-7 grafts to turn off on four shells so it can be a lot of fun, just cleaning up this "feature" of Daz Studio.
