I'm looking for someone to create some short sex scenes using video game characters. They may be watered down versions of game characters but I'm looking to see if this is a good place or any recommendations for somehwere that i can go to commision someone to create these animations.

Howdy! Someone else posted something similar to this in the "Wishlist" channel, and I figured that the response I gave was pretty sufficient. I figured I'd share what I said to the other user, and you guys can reflect on these points. The sum up version of it is that it would be cheaper/more rewarding to learn it on your own and buy the products that you need vs trying to get someone to do it for you. Now in the pasted part below, I'll tell you why it's better -

Honestly, I'm not sure that this would be the best place to get this kind of work done, nor would it be the most cost efficient idea to have it done vs. do it yourself.

1. I'm not sure if commissions is something that's allowed per the website rules and regulations, you'd have to look into that.

Now for the cost efficiency part.

1. Most of Davo's stuff cost between $15 to $30. Some of them only include the actual devices and not and environment. So there's that.
1.1 What if you want a different environment? Or want something that would require multiple props to be "merged" in a way? That would cost more time and money to the artist

2. Then, let's say that you want a certain character body type, hair style (with color), maybe some scars or blemishes, tattoos, stuff like that. Most of these things have to be bought from the Daz website, *deleted*, or here (just to name a few) and can cost anywhere from $10 to $25 based on whether or not it's on sale, if it's in bundle, so forth.

3. Next, you've got putting it all together in a cohesive manner that you want. The artist has to go based off of whatever you've told them and create your art. This, based on how thorough the artist is, could take days/weeks. Between angles, lighting, shading, posing and gathering the proper props, it can be seriously time consuming. They're doing all this work on the side of their normal everyday stuff (unless working on 3d art is all they do) Then you're talking about making animations out of it, which would take even longer to put together. You'd have to make sure the props don't bug out during animation, make sure it looks "natural" and not like some old PS2 game, etc.

4. Following that, you've got render times. This artist could be really strong with all the aforementioned elements, but if they're computer isn't top notch Best Buy standards (even if it is) it could take between 30 min to multiple hours of rending each image. Animations would take the most time, because it's all based on how long you want your animation to be, the speed etc.
4.1 A very general idea of animation gather from a Youtube tutorial: If your animation was 10 - 20 seconds long, and you want to run it at 60 FPS (frames per second) which is really high quality/smooth for 3d design and gaming, that would be 600 - 1,200 rendered images all compressed together to make your animation. Now take my earlier example of it take 30+ min to render just one image. Making a 10 second animation, with the parameters that I just set out, would take 18k minutes or 300 hours or 12.5 days of just rendering. Again, this is just a very general idea, but you get the point.

5. Lastly, there's post work. I personally am still practicing when it comes to post work, so I'm not sure what all can be done with it, but I've seen enough Youtube videos to know, it's a lot that can be done. This one, like the others is up in the air, since it's based on what program they use, what you're asking to be done, how tedious that process is, you get the idea.

Based on this general outlook, you can imagine how someone could charge you anywhere from $3 - $7 per single image, and possibly $15+ for an animation that's less than a minute. While you did make a point that you're not tech savvy when it comes to the 3d programs and how to make them work, I can tell you that Daz3d is a very user friendly interface. The community of people who use it is massive and growing. It might take you a couple of months if not years to really get it down, but it's a lot more rewarding (in my opinion) to be able to make exactly what you want yourself than to wait on a third party that you're not entirely sure of make it for you, then have to pay an arm and a leg for it (even if they are reasonably pricing it)

Not trying to deter you or anything, just being realistic .
thanks 1 user thanked Ebonix115 for this useful post.

So you are looking for someone to violate copyright's of gaming companies that have lots of money and lawyers? Good luck with that. Maybe China?

A tad strong are we not?   maybe the person does not know what it cost to create what he wants, and we could have gotten the point across  about using other game creations figures is against copyright laws instead of making him sound like a criminal,

Also I must have missed the memo about hiring someone to do commission work was against the TOS

now that we have mentioned copyright laws and legal  issues. befalling the artist,   It is expensive for the artist if they have to buy new gear they do not have in their library.  Some items that I could use down the road I tend to split the cost an add it to the bill,  Items I know I will never use, I pass the entire cost on the client.  so by the time one figures what they may have to buy verses what is in their library you may have added $100-$200 to your project. before one even turns on the rendering program

Rendering is expensive and time consuming and time is money. A single render based on content. with lighting, the number of characters, the clothing they wear, pose sets/expressions and hair  etc, could take several hours to create and the ram used during rendering sort of consumes the use of that computer during rendering time and unless you have a spare PC or laptop, you have nothing else you can do.. That's why many artist will start a rending before bedtime and hope it is finished before the wake up

best of luck on your project

Maybe my post was a bit terse, but that is something the OP needs to consider. I haven't done any professional animations for going on 10 years now, but back when I was doing archviz animations full time I typically billed at least $10k per minute, and that wasn't character animation. Times have changed, to be sure, but quality animations aren't going to come cheap.
