I just heard Diane Griffith passed away from cancer on Feb 9th.
Only the old timers will remember that Diane founded Renderotica all those years ago after "the other R site"
banned all adult content.
So many of our old guard are falling away. We also lost Lisa Bucklew this year.
I'm just heartbroken

We are very sad to hear the news of Diane's passing. Our deepest sympathies to all her friends and family.
Diane started something great here at Renderotica and it has grown and evolved over the years. We are very grateful for her vision and contribution to the art community as a whole. She will be missed by many.

I know I said I would not post to the forums anymore, but I just got a e-bot message notice from THE OTHER PLACE, that Diane Griffith has passed away..
Diane was one of the first web-host of this site during the original and refit of Renderotica, A lot of old timers will remember Diane she ran a fairly tight ship until the refit and even after the first move she had this talent for keeping things in order and doing her best with what we had.. she inspired what is known today as the Premier. Artist Group.in 2004 by bringing together 100 artist and forming a group of artist from all genre's to ban together and be the Ambassadors of this website
She began the Renderotica magazine that ran 2 + years spot lighting a Premier artist in every issue and allowing us to hear more about them in their interview section.
In a phone call with her many years ago she told me she wanted to get into local politics. I am not sure if that came to pass but I wished her well at that time..
she will be missed

You know, over at the other place, they mention how much Diane contributed along with Jack Kramer to their site, but they never mention why Diane and Jack Kramer left and started Renderotica.. Obviously they did not want to mention the defection and I believe the Flame wars between the two sites back then
Only after Diane sold the site, and eventually came back and began to contribute again with products do they continue the praise..
Obviously they seem to do not want to admit how our site started and that we STILL exist .
Diane did so much for us here and some will disagree because of the migration to the new site but she did her best to keep order and had a great team under her
