I am trying to set up a comic production pipeline based on Character Creator 3 and Blender. I'd like to be able to use Golden Palace and Diktator, etc in that workflow, but I'd like to know what might be involved before purchasing them.
At present CC3's FBX export is broken, and there are issues with their OBJ files and Blender's Rigify add-on as well, and I'm not sure which issues will be resolved first, so I'm looking at either OBJ or FBX possibilities right now (would prefer FBX, of course). What I'd like to know is whether GP can be 'geografted' (I have not used DAZ so I don't know exactly what's involved here) on CC3 figures in CC3 (I understand that DAZ figures import to CC3, so it seems possible), If they grafting would have to be done in DAZ (and would CC3 then be able to use the mesh- it's pretty particular about vertices). Or, would I need to do the grafting in Blender, and what would be involved in that.
For me, this is a one-way workflow from CC3 to Blender, so I don't have to worry about sending figures back to CC3 and the compatibility issues there, but it would be helpful to know if applying GP to a G8 figure would work in CC3, or what alternatives might exist.
Thanks!
