Once upon a time there was a small band of people...heroes, in the truest sense of the term...who acted as protectors and fighters for justice on Traynor Island and its surrounding islets. And, because order requires chaos, there was another group of people who were villains in the truest sense of the term, who acted in the interests of one greedy resident of Traynor Island: Jack Diamond.
And then, in one night, it all went to Hell.
Kazumi Endo: her mentor, the man who raised her after her father died in battle, the man who taught her to be a hero, the leader of the heroes, lies in the hospital: crippled and comatose. Her teammates are dead or missing, or turned traitor.
And Sesha Endo, who put on the mask and outfit and fought the good fight, once upon a time, as Volt, was captured, and tortured, and left to die in a stone coffin on an islet inhabited by her worst fear.
Quinn was supposed to be a legend. A bogeyman used to terrify the children of Traynor Island into being good. What he was, however, was the base shell of a man inhabited by a monster.
Sesha Endo faced Quinn, faced her most debilitating childhood fear, and killed it. But not before the monster inside of Quinn passed into her.
And with every passing day and every passing hour, with every debauchery and every death, it gains more control over her.
And with every new death and every new debauchery, she cedes a bit more control to it.
There is no question that Sesha Endo...Volt...will one day be a legend on Traynor Island. The only question is whether it will be as a hero, or as something to bolt your doors and lock your windows against when the clock nears midnight..
