I have a request that I hope could be added in the future. Unless there is already an ability to do so, please could you add the ability to copy and paste any text to memory/clipboard that you are preparing to submit to the forums or as a private message? This is normally a standard function that works through Windows and 99% of the time the option is there.

I always like to do this for safety reasons and once I have written a post or e-mail I will always select the entire text and then copy it to memory, so it can be pasted to Wordpad or whatever. I do this because there have been times in the past where a problem with uploading, where it might say that the page couldn't be displayed or there is some other error, can end up wiping out the entire text once you refresh the page or press the Back button in Internet Explorer. It is rare that it happens but when it has and I haven't the chance to save the text to memory it can be very annoying.

As I write this, I can select the entire body of text in this frame with the standard Windows right click menu, but there is no option to copy it to memory. There is only the option for copying the background. I don't know a thing about coding web pages but if you cannot restore the function to the standard Windows right-click interface menu, due to the text, please could you add copy and paste buttons across the top with the rest of the text formatting options? Microsoft's Hotmail has this feature thankfully, because the copy and paste ability is lost on that site also, due to either the text formatting or HTML encoding. Again, I don't understand exactly why it gets lost but it usually seems to happen when you have text formatting options.

Thank you.

May want to try Firefox, or check your settings:

I have not had a problem with copy and paste , at least from the forums.

You can try Ctl-c (copy) Ctl-v (paste) Ctl-x (cut) and see if they work .

usually you can copy the content of an input field to the the clipboard by using CTRL-A and then CTRL-C

(works for me at least... )

Ah yes, those keys work just nicely, thank you. I often forget to use hotkeys as I am so used to doing everything via the mouse. Most of the time I might only use F5 and the keys to open Explorer. Plus, like I said, most sites allow you to copy and paste via the right-click menu.

Thanks again.
