Just like the title says, what do you like about this new version of the site? Lets let them know what we enjoy about this site, & what we think we will like about it once the bugs are worked out.

I like the new slide show feature. :D makes going thru the galleries faster & easier :D

I like it all!!!! mineminemine. gimmegimme.

I love the user interface, having my own little pervy page...
the smilies.. when they work...

the fact that people are actually talking, not walking around with coats on and hats pulled over their faces like a real porn shop. LOLOL.

I was just looking at the old place and when i got back here.. i decided that this is much better.. there are a lot of bells and whistles, but i seem to get the hang of it now.. Maybe it might be a bit too early, but i really think that the user interface has improved a lot!

The tools for interactivity on this site are the best I've ever experienced. That and I just love everything about this new version of Renderotica. :)

BTW these controls for the text are the awesome! :eusa_clap:

For me the new site's faster, and the forum software seems a lot more capable. I think it's got a good chance of striking a better balance between forums and galleries than the old site did (from my experience at any rate, I wasn't there so long).

I like it all too.
But mostly the fact it's way much faster, that there is more activity from people. How easy and fast is to get to someones gallery. You have always an avatar an the link to that person's gallery at hand. The huge amount of options. And I have to find out more about it, but the groups option seems awesome.
Actually those things are something I sugested yesterday or Saturday, and they were here all the time! I just talked too early.

The signature size and the login out issue are the only things I asked if were correct like that. Asking for so insignificant things gives you an idea of how much I'm liking it!

If I have to chose something, I'd say the forums. Feels alive now.:partyhat:

I like it. It is newer and faster, more options and easier to find stuff.

I like the fact that it's much more modernized now, and has an interface I've become accustomed to, having dealt with Vbulletin in the past. Some of my fav forums on the net are driven by that script.

Much more interactivity options, better forum options, much more categorized and easy to navigate galleries, and just a better overall feel to the site now. The other site, although comfortable, was a bit like walking around in the dark at certain times

I'm sure the backend makes the entire site much more managable for the staff as well, which is something that will benefit us all down the road.

I actually like pretty much everything at the moment, and it's improving as the staff iron out the bugs and activate & tweak options & settings.

I certainly did not mind the old site since it was familiar. But, I agree - this appears much faster from my connection. It is more interactive, personal, and probably easier. I only say "probably" cause I am still exploring all the little tabs and buttons.

I like the new site, will take some time to get used to it. The one thing I am having trouble with is finding my Profile page so I can make changes to what I want and don't want. Other than that, it's great.

I know this is a positive thread, so here's a positive.

I LIKE that Diane and Tom have spent so many hours of their lives working their phalanges to the bone on something that can be supported and give us a future.

I LIKE that a group of our community members have been working out most of the kinks for around 6 months, while they could have been slacking like the rest of us.

I LIKE that all of the above haven't so much as said "F*&k Off" to the whiney people who might have to spend a few hours migrating their work from the old site.

I LIKE that my "artwerk" has a place where it can be ignored by hundreds, if not thousands of people ;)

I LIKE that there's at least a couple of threads focussing on how bright our future is here on the new site; rather than living in the past.

OK, Have another question. In the old site the titles of the posts/pix were the artists name first. Why has that changed? Not a complaint, just a query.

Overall, the site is a vast improvement. Not so sure about the divided galleries. There seems to be much less traffic per gallery, but that might change with time. Regardless of outcome, it was a change that had to be made. The forum format of the galleries might encourage a little more interaction between members kind of like it used to be before the "ice age".

I like the new site better than the old one...
Some people seem to be divided on all of the options...
But I like having all of the options...

I don't have tons of experience setting up the php engines (vBulletin and vbPortal and whatever else the team has layered on top of it) used on this site, but I can tell by all of the changes I have seen in the past week, that they are well thought out engines...

The control panels are point and click, and wysiwyg... The Renderotica team can basically make the site look any way they want it too...
Or they can just build on many of the templates that come with the engines...

I am sure as time goes on and the site gets ironed out even more, more options (plugins, modules) will be made available to the users... Hint Hint....:icon_lol:

With all that said... I think the team has done an awesome job so far...
Keep up the excellent progress on the site...

FYI to the team... version vbPortal 3.7.2 for vBulletin 3.7.4 is now available.... :laughing7: If you are running version 5+ PHP and Msql you might want to look into it after you get all the bugs out if the site...

I like that the software was completely upgraded. It was annoying hearing we can't do this, this, or this "because of the software we're using." Seemingly trivial things were somehow next to impossible. Hopefully, the new site will be easier to customize along the way.

Hi all,

I like the new site a lot better than the old one. Not that I disliked the old one, but I enjoy new things in a general sense and love exploring and trying new things..

One thing I really like about the new site is the gallery setup, which I'm sure will only get better. I like how you can 'preview' images before actually clicking them for the full viewing. And I like the stats area as well.

I've only explored a little bit, my day job really exhausts me a lot of the time, so I have a lot more exploring to do yet, but those are the things I like about the new site already - *smile*

Well, it was kinda ahppy ending...the pics there..but it displays as a thumbnail until ya click it..

you can either attach, or you can upload to the forum stuff gallery and insert it as a picture by using the little picture icon that shows on your reply up at the top.

copy the link after you have uploaded it by right clicking on the picture, come back here, hit reply click on the littel yellow box with the what looks like a mountain in it and paste the link.

then your image will show not as an attachment, but as a picture...

keep in mind if you do this, the image doesnt exceed the width of the forum or it throws it out of whack. ;)

Please remember, if your image is too wide it will throw the forums off, so make it an attachment in that case.

You can also use the thumb in the forums to avoid messing them. And if you want people to have acces to the big size too, you can use the insert link button and do this:

[*URL="URL OF BIG ONE"]URL OF THUMB[/URL]

Without the *
It will end like this:
http://work01.dtgstudios.com/rotica2.0/pix//8/8/la_mala_thumb.jpg (http://work01.dtgstudios.com/rotica2.0/pix//8/8/la_mala.jpg)

It's like an atachment, but without the limited space or having to upload the same pic again. Plus, the thumb of the galleries is a little bigger than the atachments one, I think.

Anyway, I think if an image is smaller the 800 pixels in widh, it will not mess the forum.

Hope this helps :)

I really like the fact that thumbnails are generated based on the entire image. I got sooooo tired of seeing thumbnails that zoomed in on just the crotch or boobs, because people thought that was the only way they could generate views. I passed up on nearly every image that did so, because I had no idea what the artist was trying to do (other than get hits).

Now, I can preview the entire image and see what the picture is. Then I can choose to either pass it up or view it. Two thumbs up!

I like the new forum a lot better than the old one... but I still don't find the shop very functional. (I've always hated the shop area, btw, because I find it messy, tacky looking and I can't find stuff.)

The new portal looks a lot classier - and then you're dumped into the old shopping front and... yuck.
One thing I particularly detest are the text lines at the top, for the sales.
Surely something like that should be on the front portal?

Sorry, that's just my opinion, and I prefer to tell you what I dislike. After all, you want us to buy stuff. :)

Just for the record, we are working on the new store software as well, which is a lot more user friendly than the old. Easier to find things (even keyword searches!) and will be as functional and adaptable as the forum software is.
