The Haunted Rally -18 July, 2009-

Okay Kids, our next rally will be the “Haunted rally”. It will be held on 18 July, which is two weeks from this weekend. The haunted rally should feature images with ghosts, zombies, or skeletons. This is different from the standard ‘horror’ theme in that we are looking for Hauntings, not general undead or scariness. Just about everyone should have access to the basic Poser skeleton, and if you need one that is a little more detailed, Andi3d did one for our store a while back that is pretty good. Of course, DAZ also has a nice skeleton to play with as well, and lots of people make zombies.

Ghosts are the easiest to do by simply rendering two images, one with the ghost and one without, then overlaying the non-ghost image on top of the ghost image in a photoshop style program and adjusting the non-ghost image opacity.

The point being that I think this is something everyone should be easily capable to handling. So, get your rendering machines ready for the 18th and let’s try to make this rally a success!

I would have said something, but everytime I come to this thread, I just wind up staring at that great announcement image. I've got some ideas roiling around my thick skull. Now I just need to work out the time, and figure out how to come up with something close to what I'm thinking about.

The next announcement might want to play up the Rally Gallery a bit more. I noticed a few entries in the Blue that didn't find their way to the Rally Gallery.

What happened to the rally spirit everyone? (Okay, I couldn't resist the pun.) My machine's been a little uppity over the last day, so my final entry's coming in late. I won't tell if you don't tell. One day just seems too short to me anyway.

Well, I can't speak for Kathyrne, the Rally Master, but, usually they're only for the weekend. So, the last day would have been the 19th. But the next rally, Summer Heat, will be the first weekend in August, so there's plenty of time to get ideas and renders underway for that one.
