Hey all!

Two years ago we did a community 'First Render Day' to showcase how far us old artists have come in our craft through experience and perseverance to show new artists that there is hope. Last year we changed it to 'Redo A Render Day', a celebration of not only how we've grown, but what's possible for our art! Lets do it again!

Take something from your gallery, preferably an older work but it could also be something newer that you don't think came out quite right, and remake it! Maybe the lighting wasn't quite right, maybe you didn't like the angles, maybe you've got better assets for what your original idea was. It could also be a picture you've never posted up at all, but in that case please upload both the original and the new version. For the new version feel free to talk about what you changed, how you changed it, what made you pick that picture, anything you'd like. Plus link to the original so we can see the difference.

We'll all post them up on... lets say March 20th. Just add the tag "Redo_2024" to your artwork so we can find it. Also, comment a link to them here. Have fun everyone and enjoy!

Awesome idea, IMO community fun is always nice!

Well, last time I was 3 months or so too late, but this time I guess I'm making it on time. I'm not 100% sure yet what I'm going to redo but I have an idea.

Earlier today I posted a blog post with a review on a free chain prop when I stumbled upon an old render of mine featuring Riley chained onto a platter ("She's being served"). It's 2 years old, and while somewhat mild (no full nudity?) I still think it's hot as heck. That's probably a good candidate for me ;)

I'd actually posted one of my first efforts as part of my submissions yesterday, before this was posted.

I'm doing a bit of archaeology with my catalogue at the moment. Often it's only add-ons, like discarded clothing, that give me a clue as to when I did the work. I could probably construct a timeline from my order history here.

I rarely redo a particular image, even though some themes repeat, but I'll have to see if any of the church set, that I did the early tests for, are ready by that date

That's part of the fun! What have you learned, what do you know now? I, personally, am redoing an image I never posted before because I thought it wasn't good. This is a way to showcase how our artistry grows over time!

Well, I think I made it just in time ;)

It was a little embarrassing but... I actually had to search for the platter or "pan" again which I used; I didn't keep the pose I made back then. But I did, I also used some different shaders and I'm quite pleased with the result so far...

(edited this section!) =>

This is the before pic => link original.

And here's the redo-the-render pic => link redo.

And this time I am going to make sure to save this asset, I might be able to use it in other poses too ;)

Hey all!

It's the day! Share your reworked artwork here! Here's some of mine, though I'm going to add some more tomorrow.

The Pit Remake

The Pit Remake - Different Angle

Holy Fuch Remake - Yes, I was very drunk when I named and saved the original. It felt right to keep the original name...

Looking forward to seeing all of yours!
