If I click through to proceed after this error  I get a form for creditcard info.

Please check your email. An email has been sent regarding this problem you were having. Generally, you have to make sure to just enter the dollar amount you want to use to pay the order with. For instance, if the order has a total of $10, then you would just enter 10 and then click apply credit. It should now show as an item line in the order with a negative $10 value and the balance should now show $0. Then you click Check Out in the bottom right. That should bring up the Order Preview page. You just need to click the Place Order button and it should then bring you to the No payment required payment screen, you just click the No Payment required image, not the Pay Now button. That should complete the order.
