Usually if it's staying white or grey after Mat copy script, it is usually a shell(s) issue. Basically issue is when shells are loaded they add all the surfaces from the figure and all attached grafts. So if you have multiple grafts you come up with an issue where the shells could contain surfaces it has no material information for, so in this case the additional surfaces just default to white (though it is an additive process so with multiple shells you can end up with more of a grey color) Easy fix is select each shell in the scene and run the shell fix script Meipe includes with his products. If shell fix script doesn't work you'll need to manually turn off the extra surfaces.

Correct. You can also manually go to each shell and make sure the other shells are not turned on under Parameters > Shell. But it is more time consuming. I do that if Meipe's Shell Fix does not fix it.

If you're using the USM 2 wetness product, here's a fun way to make that wetness extend on to GP. About 10 seconds of work once you've done it a few times.
You've added the USM2 shell and applied material to it. In the SCENE tab select the USM shell. Open the SURFACES tab. You'll see a bunch of surfaces that belong to Golden Palace.
First though, select the "Legs" entry, right-click on it and select "Copy Selected Surface(s)".
Then select all the surfaces belonging to GP only. Hold CTRL and click on each GP entry to do this.
From the USM 2 Pro content library, find the Shell GF8 (or GF81 or G9 depending on what you're using) / Graft Helper entry. There's something called "USM Shader fix For Grafts" in there. Double-click on that to apply it to the previously selected surfaces.
The white/grey should disappear. In the SURFACES tab now right-click on the still selected surfaces and select "Paste to Selected Surface(s)". Wetness shall now rule.
Another fun tip for USM 2 Pro users, you can put heavy wetness on any Geoshell with a simple procedure. Select the object. From the "Create" menu select "New Geometry Shell". In the SURFACES tab select the Geometry Shell material and apply the "USM Shader fix For Grafts" material. Instant fun.
