Hi all,

I am looking for a hair prop for a project I'm thinking of involving a Dana Scully/Gillian Anderson clone, particulrly for the latest version like the one below. Earlier versions would be great too. Thanks in advance.

Take a look through the hair at mankahoo.com, I pretty much use his hair exclusively. Hair 173, 170, 162, 159, 158 and 096 are reminiscent of her hairs through the years.

I am always nervy about new (to me) producers. Do these work in Daz, and how do they do for movement? I am always on the look-out for ways to provide hair hanging down (for characters suspended upside-down) or standing up (eg for characters falling).

Mankahoo is also known as Ali at renderosity and has been around for a long time. His hair is loaded with morphs. I am like you in that I need hair that is suspended upside down, so you don't see a lot of my renders or promo artwork with very long hair on my figures unless it's in a ponytail or braids, which Mankahoo has several hair figures.  Some of those tails/braids don't sway upside down as well as I'd like them to, so my fix is to actually hide the ponytail or braid on the hair conformed to the head, then add the same hair figure again and hide the base and just show the ponytail/braid and turn that whole hair figure upside down. Works very well.  His newer hair figures I believe will work in DS well.  Mankahoo has morphs for adjusting the hair lines, back of neck, over the ears, bun sizes, etc, he's got a list of morphs on each of his hair promos.

Davo,
Thanks for all of this. I do occasionally play with duplicating and rotating items to make them appear differently, but I haven't done enough to be confident.
I will have a think about some of his hair.

There are two types of hair I've seen both made by 3Dream. Agent Hair and Lira Hair on Renderosity.
