This issue is solved. Forcing Daz Install Manager to update to the most recent Daz version (4.22.x) addressed the error. To be fair to E3D, their readme does specify Daz v.4.21 or later. For some reason, IM wasn't updating my Daz.

Yes, I am rendering in Iray.
No matter what setting I choose for type or color on the E3D Pubic Hair for G9 product (https://www.renderotica.com/store/sku/68972_3D-Pubic-Hair-For-Genesis-9), the hair never shows up in the render.
I see it fine in the preview window. I can adjust its location and change the colors. But it does not appear in the render. Ever. Period.
MacOS 13.6.3, Daz 4.20, and yes, Genesis 9 for the figure.
