Just bought the dragon dildo. Don't want to pay for something that don't work. Cannot get the thing to install. I checked manually the file list in the readme text and all the files appear to be there but DAZ is not recognizing them. Why?

The only thing I did differently from the readme text file is that I let the windows zip thing install to the library file rather than doing it like the text file said. I don't see the difference since the files are there as they should be listed just like in the text file.

When I try to load the prop I get two error messages telling me these files are not there:

data/db xxx/dragon dildo/db xxx-dragon dildo/uv sets/db xxx/base/default.dsf
runtime/libraries/textures/db xxx/dragon dildo/db xxx-dragon dildo disp.jpg
runtime/libraries/textures/db xxx/dragon dildo/dbxxx-dragon dildo d01.png
runtime/libraries/textures/db xxx/dragon dildo/dbxxx-dragon dildo disp.png
runtime/libraries/textures/db xxx/dragon dildo/dbxxx-dragon dildo n.png

runtime/libraries/textures/db xxx/dragon dildo/db xxx-dragon dildo disp.jpg
runtime/libraries/textures/db xxx/dragon dildo/dbxxx-dragon dildo d01.png
runtime/libraries/textures/db xxx/dragon dildo/dbxxx-dragon dildo disp.png
runtime/libraries/textures/db xxx/dragon dildo/dbxxx-dragon dildo n.png

I know they are there because I checked. The only different thing is that the folders and some files have capital letters. I don't know if that makes any difference. How do I tell DAZ where the files are?

That can only be caused by misplaced files. Please try reinstalling it manually or check the file path thoroughly.

Hi. Yes. I discovered the problem. There are two places on my computer that Daz stores files I think it was made by some older version I dunno but I checked and realized the error. Got it fixed now.

Have a look at this: www.renderotica.com/community/forums.aspx?g=posts&t=218553&cmsg=0&cmsn=#post424868

I put that together a while ago to help people install their goodies correctly the first time, and the mods were good enough to make it a sticky topic in the tutorials subforum. The short version is this: NEVER let an unzip program, whether it's Windows, RAR, 7z, or whatever, install your content for you. If it's not a DIM file, always do it manually, and make sure that you always follow the paths exactly. Do that, and you won't have any problems related to file structure.

Also, it sounds like you may have multiple runtimes. It's probably a good idea to fix that. ;)
