Hello everyone,
I'm considering the purchase of Poser, and was hoping to find a collection of porn made with Poser so I could get a general idea of what's possible in that software.
I'd be grateful if anyone can point me towards Poser specific galleries.
Thank you.

I'm a hardcore poser user and have been for a LONG time.
I do post processing in Affinity Photo - and have made some workable props/figures in Zbrush and/or Hexagon for my images and comics.
My gallery -- https://www.renderotica.com/artists/Sutut/Gallery
My inspirations are the "Grindhouse" movie era (think Roger Corman) and B-Movies, early Sci-Fi and lurid damsel in distress covers.
Hope you like:-)

Why Poser?
Have you already used Poser?
If you are new to 3d figure apps, better start with DAZ Studio. The software is free, figures and render results are just better. Only when it comes to animation, Poser is better. If Poser is still, what you wanna go to, then wait, until they release Poser 12 someday.

Hey Sutut, thanks for sharing. Yes, I can see you are prolific! You have some nice images in your gallery, and that helps me get a better idea of what Poser can do. Appreciate it.

Hi Masterstroke, thanks for your input. You make some good points.
I did make a good faith effort to work in Daz for 3-4 months, and did manage to create some simple animations. But, all in all, Daz just wasn't right for me so I decided to keep exploring.
Whether Poser will be the solution is still unknown. Most of what I know about it comes from tutorials on YouTube, and based on that Poser software looks much more to my personal taste than Daz. And yes, I am interested primarily in animation.
I'd really like to try iClone, but that's Windows only and I'm on a Mac, so, no go there.
Your advice to wait for Poser 12 seems wise. Best I can tell the Poser 11 era is kind of a mess, and it would probably be a good idea to wait for the dust to settle before diving in.

You might search here for an artist/vendor who calls himself erogenesis. Also an artist named kunimasa, he hasn't posted very much lately and switched to DAZ Studio, but he did some admirable work in Poser. Hibbli3d is a vendor who used Poser to make a virtual library of erotic comics before likewise switching to DAZ Studio. shadoman is another skillful Poser vendor.
Best wishes. Live long and render

REALLY ?!
Didn't hear of that. Did he post it at DA? Well I don't go to DA anymore, for I just don't like DA.

I think one of the problems you may run into with Poser, is that more and more content artists are switching over to Daz Studio, because of what it offers.
The application offers almost the same things as Poser does, their version of dynamic cloth, animation, etc. Daz are also getting into allowing their products to be used by other 3D applications (unreal engine, Maya, etc)...you'll need to look up bridging.
Don't get me wrong, I like Poser when I used it, but after my PC crashed a couple of years ago, I decided to try Daz again, as their content was becoming increasing difficult to import into Poser, plus their G8 characters are pretty solid.

Look even I will admit that for any new users out there I would recommend Daz studio and simply because that is free, but if someone has tried it and it is not to their liking then Poser is the alternative unless they want to go into Blender
I have been a Advent Poser User since version 3 back in 2002 and have been posting a great deal of my art here since 2004
As to my galleries I am afraid that a great deal of my art is in the Premier galleries (over 10K worth of images) and mostly in comic book form and you would have to grab a Premier Advantage package to see them and trust me even the the top Advantage package would not afford you the time to see my entire gallery.
However you can go to the galleries and search for Shadoman to grab a view of my main gallery images. or you can take this link to my store front to see some 85+ comic covers along with the attached samples to get some idea of what I do using Poser software..
https://www.renderotica.com/content-artists/shadoman/371
Mind you if you get to the store from select the filter newest to oldest or you will see my really early stuff created with Poser 4-5 that is far less superior than what I was able to do from Poser 6 and on.
Only Poser 11 and 11 pro are available from the new license holder Renderotisty and it does come with lot of goodies and the ablilty to create something right from the beginning as I believe they no include La Femme with the purchase.
Not going to sugarcoat this but even compared to V4 Le Femme has flaws and is limited till someone create a good genital package for her and some extra morphs. but she ius better than past Poser figures.
Using Poser is that is straight forward and allows you to bring up the entire 250+ page tutorial right to your render board, and DAZ still sells Vicky and Mike 4 for use in poser but if they offer you a bundle package grab it as it will contain base figures, poses morphs, a few skin textures, clothes and hair to get started. if you join their discount club, you will get 30% as well.
A negative though is that you will only be able to work with Vicky 4 and Michael 4 unless you gets DAZ's DSON option and then that will only allow you to work with V5 and M5 and even that is limited.
Now all 3D software is perfect. I have seen many samples of DAZ studio art where the base figures have some minor flaws and to correct them you will need some sort of post work tools Gimp is free. personally I use Photoshop 6
I wish you all the luck into your 3D venture and hope you will be up and rendering real soon
I hope you finds my samples to your liking regardless of the fact that My niche here is BDSM themes

Hi Felasco
I work exclusively in Poser as I've accumulated a lot of Poser props and models over the years and am too lazy to learn DAZ and too cheap to invest in their models. Poser's good enough for me. My renderings focus on extreme BDSM/horror genre. Not for everyone, certainly, but the Poser/DAZ let artists explore things not possible in the real world.

LOL - It's the same with me. I've only done Poser over the years. I resent how DAZ has has set their mind to taking over the 3D art world. On the other hand I wish Poser would adopt some of the features DS users tout as superior.

You are NOT being cheap! You have expenses, an automobile, perhaps a mortgage, certainly you're accustomed to having meals on a daily basis and you've got a PC. And, barring sales, DAZ3D wants $US44.95 for Victoria 8, $US18.95 (minimum) to get her something decent (or even indecent) to wear, and about $US24.95 for a nice hair-do. Yipes! At prices like that, might as well have a real girl friend!

So it seems. If you examine his work here, you should be able to distinguish the transition from Poser to DS. Also, if you visit the other web site whose name also begins with the letters R E N D O and search for the gallery of an artist named minefujiko, you'll see plenty of his work in DS. He's very accomplished, as you've certainly already noticed. Live long and render

I think we all know what is and is not at RENDO when it comes to art.. I think that is why we are so popular and the fact that we allow EROTICA .... Plus unless you pay extra, RENDO only allows you to post a single image per day.. and we allow 5 ( i think)
On a sidebar I want to add that over the years my Poser addiction has set me back several thousands of dollars if you include PC's software upgrades and of course the base mesh, morphs, poses etc..
to start over in DAZ and again I state they make a great product and the starter program is free. but they have to make their money somewhere right..
I basically have so many props and what not that I have to take them in and out of my runtime and just import what I need for that comic. once the comic is done I export what I no longer need and then revert to my next script for what I will need for the next story..
Regards Shadoman

I sincerely hope I wrote nothing offensive, I was simply directing someone to the work of a talented artist known as kunimasa here and as MineFujiko elsewhere. His portraits and pinups, erotic or otherwise, are superb. Live long and render

Nothing wrong , I find his art quite awesome actually, but I was just stating that for a place where they do not mind showing genitals when you want to buy something, they do not allow it in their galleries and why some content ends up here that cannot be displayed elsewhere..
Sorry, sometimes my placement of wording can be taken harshly and that is not my intention.

I would advise being cautious about it and consider the last Poser compatible figure and content was released 14 years ago, then the software became frozen in time and it was adopted by *deleted* who are not even software developers. Just investigate a little about where it currently stands before spending $200 on that. DAZ Studio is in constant development and superior in every aspect, and is... well, alive.
I love DAZ Studio for animation myself, the Denoiser option allows me to render each frame in Iray in seconds, but the free bridges let you export your content to Unreal, Blender, Maya, 3DS Max and Cinema 4D, so they expand the animation alternatives. If you are sure about trying Poser, at least make sure what *deleted*'s refund policies are.
Sorry, but watching someone in 2020 about to spend $200 in Poser it's like watching a trainwreck about to happen in slow motion. Hope that's not the case and you find exactly what you need. Best of luck.

Speaking of female figures only, Victoria 8 is $25 right now, but she is not required at all, you could use any other $7 character instead. Genesis 8 is 100% free and backward compatible, the alternative for Poser is the prehistoric Victoria 4 at $30, or the horrendous La Femme at $30. Then buying additional content is the same for every figure (well, not really, good luck with La Femme). Actually a Platinum Club membership will give you access to 100s of content around $4, which is MUCH cheaper than buying Victoria 4/La Femme and content at other stores (not even mentioning their limitations and lack of quality/modern-day content). Hi guys,
Many thanks for all the comments you've shared above. I appreciate the opinions and links to various artists, quite helpful.
Well, I found a sale of the latest version of Poser for just $80. I figured I'm never going to get it cheaper so I went for it. So now I have access to both DAZ and Poser.
Although I only have a few days in Poser at this point, so far I'm loving it. The animation system is great, and on the first morning of use I was already exporting video of La Femme having fun.
In looking at MANY renders of both Daz and Poser scenes I do hear what some of you are saying about Daz image quality. That seems a good point. So, Daz will always be there should I feel the need.
Again, appreciate your input!

Glad you chose to get poser - and found a sale - lots of sales on it.
I don't do Daz - but I do Poser and have made stuff for it with Daz's free (and crash-happy) Hexagon and more importantly Z-brush. Once I get through Blender's cruel learning curve I'll be using stuff from there too. Within reason I'll be glad to answer some Qs on Poser stuff. Feel free to visit and comment/like on my gallery.
Poser is in a burp now, but still good despite age. IMO *deleted* will either sell it to someone else or hire some programmers to jump to another level.

I started with Poser and have been using Daz Studio for the past 6 years, but I wouldn't recommend DS to anyone right now.
They are upgrading the store software, but continuing to hold major sales, which is causing lots of problems for customers. There are shopping cart issues, downloading issues, and the product page doesn't show order numbers and purchase dates anymore which has a lot of people pissed. Customer service complaints about the product library are being brushed off.
This is on top of their Quality Control which has been going downhill for awhile now. There are brand new products in the store with obvious defects, and other products have missing or incorrect metadata. Instead of taking a break to fix their issues, they keep shoveling products out the door.
Iray is another issue - not really DAZ's fault since it's an Nvidia plugin, but it's gotten less stable and more power-hungry over time. They really need another rendering solution. There are other DS issues that users have been complaining about for years, UI issues (the disappearing cursor), font scaling issues, and occasional crashes.
The only answer we get for all these issues is "Hey look, another sale!"
I'm diverting my money to the other stores for now. Hopefully they get this straightened out. Actually Daz store and DS are my favorites, but I think Poser has a real chance to catch up with their next version.
