Hi All,

Does anyone know how to take this guy down. He's posting everything we've created and he's basically laughing with this statement.

"The owner of erofus is not located in USA.

Our hosting provider is not located in USA.

Our servers are not located in USA.

DMCA does not apply to us.

Use watermarks to protect your work and ban users that leak content."

Can anyone help?

Regards,

Lee

The only thing you can do is find out where he/she/it lives, fly to their country/city/building then put a bullet through it's head. Piracy is impossible to stop completely. You can complain to their provider or host who might close their account but some hosting providers don't care and many countries don't pay much attention to piracy.
The only sure fire way to prevent these parasites from making money off of your material is to not post it anywhere.
You can complain to Renderotica: they do have an email just for this but in my experience they don't do anything. There's a pirate site that EVERYONE knows about, that's been openly sharing most stuff from here for years. They use Mega to host the stolen material, making it easy-peasy to take down. However, they do nothing. With the Doc now passed on, the pirates operate with impunity.

Not exactly true,  we STILL are sending DMCA's as soon as we get reports in, so anytime you find your content elsewhere simply send the links to our teach team at: [email protected]

PS, biggest problem with stopping pirates the was you laid out, it's kind of hard to create new content in jail for murder lol

Just a suggestion but when you post the name of a pirate website you kind of invite people to check it out..... Might I suggest a bit of mis-spelling of the name might help

Teronsuke, we shouldn't have to send you anything. You know where these sites are, especially the one that supplies them all. All you have to do is keep it open in a tab in your browser and as soon as something from here is posted, follow the link to Mega or Google Drive and send them the takedown notice. I watched the Doc in action a few times and most items where down within minutes of being posted. It got to the point where Renderotica stuff was no longer posted because everyone knew it wouldn't last. With the main site no longer hosting our items, the others will lose out since they all feed of that one. There will still be a bit of sharing in secret but that's fairly minor.
Another tactic is to 'tag' purchases here with a hidden unique identifier on each sale. When it pops up in a pirate site, download it then sue the shit out of the uploader. You can also share the punks info with Rendersosity and Daz, suggesting that they close the kid's account and publicly shame him or her for piracy. If this tactic is carried out just once, I can guarantee that you'll scare off most of the sharing uploaders. Most people are only doing it casually and won't want to lose their ability to buy new items.
