The tool allows you to create a pose preset saving template, and then use the template to save the next pose with the same pose saving settings without the need to open the hierarchy and check and uncheck the boxes again. When you create your template you can save the next pose with two clicks, no need to go through the pose saving settings again. Just select the figure, run the script, and click save. The tool will remember the directory where you saved your last pose preset and offer that location first, you just need to choose a name for your pose preset and you are good to go. Since different figures have different structures and names, you will still have to create a new template for a different figure. This tool is very simple, its purpose is to speed up the process of saving the pose presets for pose creators who create a large number of poses and save them with the same pose saving settings. It is designed for all DazStudio users, it's very easy to use, even if you don't have too much experience! How To Use: - First select the figure in the scene. - Double-click on the Pose Save Utility icon. - The Pose Save Utility window will appear. - At the top of the window you will see one of the possible two texts: if you already have a saving template, you will see - "Existing template for (figure name) found. Configure a new template to replace it." if you run the script for the first time, and there is no saving template created, you will see - "No template found. Configure a new template." - To create a new saving template (for the first time, or to replace the existing one), click the "Configure New Template" button. This button will open a DazStudio native pose preset saving dialog. In this dialog, you need to choose the settings with which you will be saving your poses. Once you chose your settings, click accept. Now you will see the "Existing template for (figure name) found. Configure a new template to replace it." text above. - After the settings template is created you can click the "Save Pose with Template" button. This button will open a standard saving dialog, which allows you to choose a location and name for the pose preset and save it. The tool will offer the same location you chose the previous time next time you use it. - Next time you use the tool, you just need to click the "Save Pose with Template" button, and your pose preset will be saved with the same settings. NOTE: If the saving preset is made for one figure and you try to use it on a different figure, the tool will warn you, but it will allow you to proceed. In case you proceed, be aware that some figures have different bones, morphs, and properties, so the template might create a saved pose preset that is not functional. Check the pdf "INSTRUCTIONS" file for illustrated step-by-step instructions. ====================================================================== INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS ====================================================================== - Unzip the zip file to a temporarily folder - Copy the 'Scripts' folders in the unzipped folder and paste it into your DAZ Library folder.(e.g. C:\Users\Your Username\Documents\DAZ 3D\Studio\My Library) ====================================================================== TAGS ====================================================================== pose, saving, save, G8, G9, partial, genesis, poses, template, speed, manager, script, scene, posing, node, tool, daz3d, daz tool, automatic, selection, solution, plugin, widget ====================================================================== COPYRIGHT & LICENSE ====================================================================== Copyright (c) 2025 lightBLUE.
