Thank you for puchasing The Studio B "D-BLOCK" Detention Cell Block from Davo ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- - PC and MAC compatible - Requires Poser 6+. - Has not been tested in DazStudio, but should work in DS with minor adjustments to texture material zones, chiefly on material nodes that create reflections and bump/displacement mapping - DS users may experience rescaling/position of figures that are pre-parented. This package "does" contain some pre-parented assemblies. The basic elements of the package are provided so you can create scenes from scratch. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- To install, open the zip file and extract the contents (make sure "use folders" option is checked) to the location of your poser.exe file. For example: c:/program files/curious labs/poser 5 Do not include "runtime" in the extraction path, it is already specified in the zip file. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The files will be extracted to: Figures/Characters library: Davo / Studio B / D-Block: This contains the D-Block rooms, furnishings and assemblies. Pose Libraries: Davo / Studio B / D-Block: Pose to move small room into lower lever or upper level position this folder also contains the following subfolders: / For M4: This folder contains poses for M4 and matching poses for the equipment/furnishings / For V4: This folder contains poses for V4 and matching poses for the equipment/furnishings ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Figures library features: Note about Shadow and No Shadow casting: I provide 2 versions of the cell rooms and unit. One version has shadow casting turned off. This allows light to pass through all elements of the room. This version is helpful for users that are not familiar with lighthing and shadow casting. The Shadow Casting version will block light from passing through the walls and other elements of the lights have shadow casting turned on. If you are familiar with point and spot lighting, this is the version you would want to use. Cell Room (shadow and no shadow): This is a simple, small cell room that can be placed behind any one of the doors in the Cell unit. There is a pose file in the pose library that moves the cell up and down to match the lower level foor and upper level balcony. The walls and ceiling can be moved out of view for better views. Cell Stairs: This is a spiral staircase that matches up to the upper balcony. The stairs have a railing raising morph. These stairs are already pre-parented into the Cell Unit figure. Pose files for M4 and V4 are included for walking up and down the stairs. Cell Unit (shadow and no shadow): This is the base cell unit figure with the addition of the stairs and an "xtra" wall section to add more doors. The ceiling lamps can be repositioned and size adjusted. All doors are posable and the cell doors have a posable window covering. The upper level has a posable door and light switch. All walls, ceiling, lamps, balcony and railings can be moved out of the way for better views. Furniture - Bed: A simple metal bed frame with a simple mattress. Mattress can be moved out of view. Furniture - Chair: Simple metal chair with adjustable seat height. Furniture - File Cabinet: A two drawer file cabinet. Drawers are posable. You can stack cabinets on top of each other for a taller cabinet. Furniture - Floor Lamp: Tall floor lamp with easypose stem at the top. Bulb has ambient light materiels so it will glow in a dimly lit scene. Furniture - Locker: A three door locker with posable doors, door handles and 2 adjustable height shelves inside the locker. Furniture - Table: Simple table Xtra Wall Section: This is a section of wall with right and left sides and the ceiling lamps. There is a small, non-rendering diamond shaped node in between the walls that let you move the walls and lamps at the same time. You can add as many of these wall sections end to end to make your cell unit longer and have more rooms. Parent the wall sections you add to the floor of the cell unit. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Pose libraries: The core folder holds a pose for the small cell room to locate it for the lower or upper level. This room will insert on the left side of the view. You can move the cell around to any other door. Sub folders M4 and V4: There is a pose for M4 and V4 for walking up and down the spiral stairs. You may have to adjust the height of the hip to accommodate thicker shoes and boots. If you raise the hip, adjust the hand back to the railing. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Rendering and using ray-trace. Many of the surfaces of the equipment have ray-trace materials built into the material zones to create reflections. You must enable ray tracing in your render settings. Most people set the ray trace bounces value to 2 bounces. The more bounces, the longer and more complex the render time will be. If you do not enable ray trace, the scene will still render, just no reflections will show up. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This is a companion product to the Studio B "Steel Room", "Fuck Machines", "Storage Room" and "Industrial Cuffs System", also sold at renderotica in the Davo store.
