ReadMe file: Poor Little V4: Beauty and the Beast(s) pose set. By Andrus63 Required products: Poser, M4++, V4++ (M4 creature morphs needed to use the ogre headmorphs). + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + Why scaled poses? According to Daz the default V4 is about 5?101/2?. This is extremely tall for a woman, and only a little shorter than M4 at 6?1?. Many people regularly re-size the figures, especially for ?damsel in distress? type images, and multi-figure poses inevitably require adjustment. We decided for this pose collection it made sense to scale both figures. At 90% of default size V4 is a little over 5?3?, whilst at 105% M4 is a little under 6?5?. Whilst both are still well within the possible height range for adult humans, they also work well as elf and ogres/orcs, or similar. Scaling and Poser. The scaling is very simple. For each figure the ?body? is scaled, with the ?headsize? morphform used to adjust the head slightly. This means there should be no problems conforming clothing to the figures in Poser (should you want to...). Simply scale the figure, conform the clothing, then scale the clothing. You must scale the clothing after conforming it: the pz2 files to scale the characters should work equally well on clothes. Users with Poser8 SR3 can simply use the ?apply scaling? option when conforming. Hair will require slight manual adjustment to fit. Scaling figures has always been something of an issue in Poser. This seems to have largely been solved in Poser 8 SR3 (which came out whilst we were working on this set!), but we decided to keep things simple and maintain compatibility with earlier versions of Poser. Stephanie 4. These poses were pretty much complete before Stephanie 4 appeared. They were not designed for her. However, our scaled V4 is pretty close to Stephanie with the petite dial set to 1. This scales the body to 90% (as we have), but also scales the thighs and shins to 95%. However, poses 1, 4, 6,7, 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12 will all work ?out of the box? or with minor tweaking (mostly bending thighs and shins to get feet on the ground, or tightening M4?s grip on limbs etc.), with Stephanie proportions ?petite? set to 1 (and all FBMs, including Stephanie, set to zero). The remaining poses (2, 3 and 5) would require more tweaking with Petite set to 1, but work pretty well with the petite dial set to 0.76. Alternatively, if you use the "short" proportion morph set at .333, this also almost exactly fits with our scaled figure, albeit that the head is slightly larger which may need slight adjustment for some of the poses (2, 3, 8 and 12). If using the poses with Stephanie you need to also set the ?trans y? dial on the body to zero or to match the other figures in the group. If you are using Stephanie to produce a smaller V4, all the poses should provide a better starting point than similar poses for the default V4. We have decided not to redo the poses for Stephanie, but to maintain a simple scaling system that should work properly in any version of Poser and in Daz Studio. + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + How to Install To install, open the zip file. Drop the ?runtime? folder into your Poser or Daz Studio directory, and the files should install in their proper places. You can find the contents of this product under: Libraries/pose/BeautyAndBeastsM4V4 and Libraries/face/BeautyAndBeastsExpressions The headmorphs will appear in Libraries/face/BeautyAndBeastsExpressions/Headmorphs For a complete list of files in the package see below. The poses have not been tested on a Mac ? they should work fine, but if you find a problem please let us know! They have been tested in Poser 7, Poser 8 and Daz Studio 3, and should work without difficulty in earlier versions. + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + How to use. These poses are designed to work with the DAZ 3D figures Michael 4 and Victoria 4; they will require adjustment if applied to other figures. We strongly advise that you turn inverse kinematics and limits off, as otherwise poses may not all work. Load V4 and M4(s) so that ?body? translation and rotation parameters are identical, so that the figures overlap each other. Apply poses to the correct figures - they will move into position relative to each other. Use ?body? (not ?Hip?) to move figures around the scene. Keep the parameters identical for the different figures, and the groups will stay together. You could try parenting the figures to each other?s bodies to move as a unit, but we find V4 sometimes does odd things when parented to another figure, so it?s safer to parent the M4s to V4 if you want to try this. Poses are for the default M4 and V4, with the appropriate scaling applied. The large amount of contact between the figures means that several of the poses will need adjustment for morphed figures. Similarly, they may need adjustment if the figures are clothed, and some (eg 2 and 12) may need adjusting for hair. Usually, just bending M4?s hand slightly should be sufficient. It may be useful to use a magnet in some cases to ?squash? hair under a hand. Similarly you may want to experiment with using magnets (or ? for P7 and P8 users ? the morphing tool) to squash the softer parts of the bodies where they touch. Neither the poses nor the expressions move the eyes. We generally find it is better to do this manually according to the rest of the scene. Remember there is a single dial under head morphforms in the morph++ ?morphforms? to move both eyes. V4 expressions will work on M4 (and vice versa) but they will not look quite the same. Similarly the head morphs and scaling poses will also work on the other figure. We find that the head character morphs can substantially affect the look of expressions, so be prepared to tweak them. The expressions will not overwrite any headmorphs, and the included headmorphs will not overwrite expressions. The expression zeroes will only affect the basic expressions and the M++/V++ expression morphs, not any add-on packs you may have. The M4 genital poses are for the standard DAZ M4 genitals. Some poses have a specific genital pose to go with them, but for others where the angle is... um... less critical, there are three general erection poses to choose from according to taste. A number of the three-figure poses can be turned into ?couple? poses by deleting one or other M4. + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + Specific poses. Pose 04 V4?s hair is a problem in this pose. We are not aware of any transmapped hair which will work properly for a head in this position, (If anyone knows of such a hair, we would be delighted to hear!) but there are various ways round it. - Use short or curly hair which would naturally not move much. - Use dynamic hair. (As we did in the promo). - Use prop based hair and turn it upside down on the head. Also make use of scaling and any morphs in it to adjust. Some work better than others, and in many cases the result would benefit from a little post work. (You can do the same by parenting conforming hair, but it is more difficult to position it, because the rotation centre is down at the hips). - Paint the hair on afterwards in post work. + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + File list for Andrus63_Beauty&Beasts ..\Runtime\Libraries\Face\Beauty and Beasts\HeadMorphs\ ElfHead.fc2 ElfHead.png ElfHeadRemove.fc2 ElfHeadRemove.png OgreHead01.fc2 OgreHead01.png OgreHead02.fc2 OgreHead02.png OgreHeadRemove.fc2 OgreHeadRemove.png ..\Runtime\Libraries\Face\Beauty and Beasts\ M4-Appraisal.fc2 M4-Appraisal.png M4-Glee.fc2 M4-Glee.png M4-Intimidate.fc2 M4-Intimidate.png M4-Pleasure.fc2 M4-Pleasure.png M4-Zero.fc2 M4-Zero.png V4-BB-OpenWide.fc2 V4-BB-OpenWide.png V4-Defiance.fc2 V4-Defiance.png V4-Horror.fc2 V4-Horror.png V4-Horror02.fc2 V4-Horror02.png V4-Unconscious.fc2 V4-Unconscious.png V4-zero.fc2 V4-zero.png ..\Runtime\Libraries\Pose\BeautyandBeasts\ !M4Scale10501B35B14ng !M4Scale10501B35B14z2 !V4Scale9001B35B14ng !V4Scale9001B35B14z2 BB-Erection-A.png BB-Erection-A.pz2 BB-Erection-B.png BB-Erection-B.pz2 BB-Erection-C.png BB-Erection-C.pz2 BB01-M4.png BB01-M4.pz2 BB01-V4.png BB01-V4.pz2 BB02-M4.png BB02-M4.pz2 BB02-V4.png BB02-V4.pz2 BB03-M4-1.png BB03-M4-1.pz2 BB03-M4-2.png BB03-M4-2.pz2 BB03-V4.png BB03-V4.pz2 BB04-M4.png BB04-M4.pz2 BB04-V4.png BB04-V4.pz2 BB05-M4.png BB05-M4.pz2 BB05-V4.png BB05-V4.pz2 BB06-M4-Gen.png BB06-M4-Gen.pz2 BB06-M4.png BB06-M4.pz2 BB06-V4.png BB06-V4.pz2 BB07-M4-Gen.png BB07-M4-Gen.pz2 BB07-M4.png BB07-M4.pz2 BB07-V4.png BB07-V4.pz2 BB08-M4-1.png BB08-M4-1.pz2 BB08-M4-2.png BB08-M4-2.pz2 BB08-V4.png BB08-V4.pz2 BB09-M4-1.png BB09-M4-1.pz2 BB09-M4-2.png BB09-M4-2.pz2 BB09-V4.png BB09-V4.pz2 BB10-M4-1-Gen.png BB10-M4-1-Gen.pz2 BB10-M4-1.png BB10-M4-1.pz2 BB10-M4-2.png BB10-M4-2.pz2 BB10-V4.png BB10-V4.pz2 BB11-M4-1.png BB11-M4-1.pz2 BB11-M4-2-Gen.png BB11-M4-2-Gen.pz2 BB11-M4-2.png BB11-M4-2.pz2 BB11-V4.png BB11-V4.pz2 BB12-M4-1-Gen.png BB12-M4-1-Gen.pz2 BB12-M4-1.png BB12-M4-1.pz2 BB12-M4-2-Gen.png BB12-M4-2-Gen.pz2 BB12-M4-2.png BB12-M4-2.pz2 BB12-V4.png BB12-V4.pz2 ..\Runtime\ Andrus63_Beauty&Beasts_Readme.txt ..\Runtime\Libraries\Face\Beauty and Beasts\HeadMorphs\ ElfHead.fc2 ElfHead.png ElfHeadRemove.fc2 ElfHeadRemove.png OgreHead01.fc2 OgreHead01.png OgreHead02.fc2 OgreHead02.png OgreHeadRemove.fc2 OgreHeadRemove.png ..\Runtime\Libraries\Face\Beauty and Beasts\ M4-Appraisal.fc2 M4-Appraisal.png M4-Glee.fc2 M4-Glee.png M4-Intimidate.fc2 M4-Intimidate.png M4-Pleasure.fc2 M4-Pleasure.png M4-Zero.fc2 M4-Zero.png V4-BB-OpenWide.fc2 V4-BB-OpenWide.png V4-Defiance.fc2 V4-Defiance.png V4-Horror.fc2 V4-Horror.png V4-Horror02.fc2 V4-Horror02.png V4-Unconscious.fc2 V4-Unconscious.png V4-zero.fc2 V4-zero.png ..\Runtime\Libraries\Pose\BeautyandBeasts\ !M4Scale10501B35B14ng !M4Scale10501B35B14z2 !V4Scale9001B35B14ng !V4Scale9001B35B14z2 BB-Erection-A.png BB-Erection-A.pz2 BB-Erection-B.png BB-Erection-B.pz2 BB-Erection-C.png BB-Erection-C.pz2 BB01-M4.png BB01-M4.pz2 BB01-V4.png BB01-V4.pz2 BB02-M4.png BB02-M4.pz2 BB02-V4.png BB02-V4.pz2 BB03-M4-1.png BB03-M4-1.pz2 BB03-M4-2.png BB03-M4-2.pz2 BB03-V4.png BB03-V4.pz2 BB04-M4.png BB04-M4.pz2 BB04-V4.png BB04-V4.pz2 BB05-M4.png BB05-M4.pz2 BB05-V4.png BB05-V4.pz2 BB06-M4-Gen.png BB06-M4-Gen.pz2 BB06-M4.png BB06-M4.pz2 BB06-V4.png BB06-V4.pz2 BB07-M4-Gen.png BB07-M4-Gen.pz2 BB07-M4.png BB07-M4.pz2 BB07-V4.png BB07-V4.pz2 BB08-M4-1.png BB08-M4-1.pz2 BB08-M4-2.png BB08-M4-2.pz2 BB08-V4.png BB08-V4.pz2 BB09-M4-1.png BB09-M4-1.pz2 BB09-M4-2.png BB09-M4-2.pz2 BB09-V4.png BB09-V4.pz2 BB10-M4-1-Gen.png BB10-M4-1-Gen.pz2 BB10-M4-1.png BB10-M4-1.pz2 BB10-M4-2.png BB10-M4-2.pz2 BB10-V4.png BB10-V4.pz2 BB11-M4-1.png BB11-M4-1.pz2 BB11-M4-2-Gen.png BB11-M4-2-Gen.pz2 BB11-M4-2.png BB11-M4-2.pz2 BB11-V4.png BB11-V4.pz2 BB12-M4-1-Gen.png BB12-M4-1-Gen.pz2 BB12-M4-1.png BB12-M4-1.pz2 BB12-M4-2-Gen.png BB12-M4-2-Gen.pz2 BB12-M4-2.png BB12-M4-2.pz2 BB12-V4.png BB12-V4.pz2 ..\Runtime\ Andrus63_BeautyAndBeasts_Readme.txt Andrus63_BeautyAndBeasts_Filelist.txt (this file) EndUserLicense.txt Disclaimer.
