The Handle By KTdid (C) 2016 Thanks you for purchasing The Handle. Please look for more of my creations soon on Renderotica.com! http://www.renderotica.com/content-artists/KTdid/1055 ===================================================== All items in this product, unless noted, was created by me using a Macintosh Pro (5,1) with OS X 10.10 with Hexagon 2+, DAZStudio 4.9+ and Photoshop CS5.x TERMS OF USE: (This is not the full terms of use but read this because most people don't know this.) You have purchased the right to use this software. You do not own it and there for you cannot distribute it whole or in part in anyway. (BTW, this is true for all software so don't sweat it) You can use this for personal or commercial renders. (I'd appreciate an acknowledgement :-) Developed by KTdid E-mail: [email removed] ===================================================== System Compatibility - Apple OS X Has not been tested on Windows or Linux OS by KTdid Software Compatibility - DAZStudio 4.9+ ===================================================== Though there seems to be a compatibility requirement, this is false. Though there are three forms of the same prop, two of which are meant as a smart prop for Genesis 3 Female figures, the third can be used with any figure. There is absolutely nothing different with the G3F versions of The Handle. You must have an Un-Archive utility to expand a zipped file. Most modern computers already have it installed by default. ===================================================== Installation Instructions - 1. Locate the downloaded zip file. 2. You can either un-zip the file there or move it to a more convenient location. 3. Make sure you have the folder you use for DAZStudio opened as well as the folder with the now unzipped files. 4. Both folders should have a data folder inside. This will let you know that you are on the right track. From the unzipped folder, you need to place the corresponding files to the DAZStudio side. 4.1. - If you are a PC user, you may see an unusual folder called "_MACOSX." You can disregard this folder and toss into the waste bin. Macintosh users should not see this folder. If you do, toss it. Your Macintosh will make another. 4.2 - If you see .DS_Store files, you can toss those too. These are tiny database files that try to keep everything straight in Mac OS X. Windows has them too and Macintoshes can see them. 5. After moving the files in their correct places, you are all done. 6. Launch DAZStudio and The Handle should be in Props/KTdid/ directory. If you already had DAZStudio running, just right click on the top most line in the "Content Library" tab and select "Refresh." The Handle should show up in the above directory. ===================================================== Product Usage: (The following assumes that you know the basics of DAZStudio 4.9+) There are actually three Prop files with this product. They are all the same and use the same geometry. • The first is just The Handle only. It is located in the folder My Library/Props/The Handle • The second and third are located in the folder My Library/Props/The Handle/The Handle for G3F, meaning it will work with Genesis 3 Female figures only. The part that makes this a G3F only is that it will smart parent to the proper body part. To use The Handle only, you will have to place The Handle like any other prop in the correct place and parent The Handle if necessary. If you are using a G3F figure, then choose one of the other options. It'll be faster to get your pose. Speaking of posing, there is one Pose file within the folder "The Handle for G3F." This Pose will make a G3F's right side ready for The Handle. The Pose should not move anything else. After Posing the User figure and with the figure selected, bring in "The Handle for User" into the scene. The Handle will parent to the figure's right hand and will be in the open position. If you are using a G3F as the captive, then have that figure selected and bring in "The Handle on Captive." Keep in mind that it is smart parented to the "Upper Abdomen" of the figure, so if you move anything else above that along the figure's spine, then you will have to do some adjusting to make it look correct on the captive. You can parent to the figure's neck but I found it easier to make adjustments when parented lower on the figure. The other folder is a quick and easy way to close or open The Handle. Just make sure you have The Handle selected in the scene and double click on "Open" or "Close." Keep in mind that this is not a conforming piece of clothing and will not distort like one. The problem with that is if you use a larger figure, it may not fit. Just go into the parameters tab for The Handle and adjust the X (width), Z (depth) and carefully the Y (height) for The Handle. Note for animators: The open and close of The Handle is a morph, though it is not a perfectly hinged morph, it maybe of use to have a frame at 50%. Note to monster wranglers: The Handle is meant for humans and the maker of The Handle makes no guarantees that it will withstand the pressures exerted on to The Handle by non-human figures. ===================================================== Description: This is a fantasy Prop. It is meant to be used between consenting adult figures. The figures should use a "safe word" just in case things get out of hand and one figure wants to stop the game. ===================================================== Textures The black area is meant to be "rubber" like and has no texture. The metallic part is meant to be brushed metal. It is a standard DAZ texture that is buried deep in the DAZ application directory. Because of this, I have supplied the needed textures in the usual place... runtime/textures...etc. If you need the space, you can just apply another standard metal shader on to the Metal part of The Handle and not bother with the textures that are included. Remember, you should already have them. ===================================================== Files Included in the Product (and where they should go): The Handle Read Me/ The Handle Read Me.txt My Library/Data/KTdid/The Handle/ The Handle/ Form28.dsf Morphs/KTdid/Base/ Open.dsf UV Sets/KTdid/Base/ default.dsf The Handle on Captive/ Form28.dsf Morphs/KTdid/Base/ Open.dsf UV Sets/KTdid/Base/ default.dsf The Handle Only/ Form28.dsf/ Morphs/KTdid/Base/ Open.dsf UV Sets/KTdid/Base/ default.dsf My Library/Props/KTdid/The Handle The Handle.duf The Handle.duf.png /The Handle for G3F/ Holding Pose.duf Holding Pose.duf.png The Handle for User.duf The Handle for User.duf.png The Handle on Captive.duf The Handle on Captive.duf.png /Opening and Closing/ Closed.duf Closed.duf.png Opened.duf Opened.duf.png My Library/Runtime/Textures/DAZ/Iray/ brushed_a.jpg brushed_full_contrast.jpg ===================================================== fetish, bondage, role playing ===================================================== Copyright (c) 2016 KTdid.
