Thank you for puchasing The Studio B "Industrial Cuff System (ICS)" package from Davo ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- - Requires Poser 6+. - Poser 5 users can use this product, but the master parameter dials for for some of the parts and the ability so smymmetrically mirror some of the morphs will not work, so manual adjustments will have to be made. DazStudio users may also encounter repositioning and scaling of parts issues with the pre-assembled devices that have been provided. - Has not been tested in DazStudio, but should work in DS with minor adjustments to texture material zones.DS users can easily construct their own room from scratch. Master Parameter morphs may not work, so manual posing may be required. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- To install, open the zip file and extract the contents (make sure "use folders" option is checked) to the location of your poser.exe file. For example: c:/program files/curious labs/poser 5 Do not include "runtime" in the extraction path, it is already specified in the zip file. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The files will be extracted to: Figures/Characters library: Davo / Studio B / Ind Cuff Sys (abbreviation for Industrial Cuff System) : This folder contains the Cuff systems and bondage equipment parts for creating your own restraints. Davo / Studio B / Ind Cuff Sys / Assem M4: This folder contains pre-assembled bondage equipment fitted for M4. Davo / Studio B / Ind Cuff Sys / Assem V4: This folder contains pre-assembled bondage equipment fitted for V4. Pose Libraries: Davo / Studio B / Ind Cuff Sys: this folder contains a pose file to set the Cuff System - Multi figures first 2 connection pipes above the floor. Davo / Studio B / Ind Cuff Sys /For M4: This folder contains poses for M4 to fit the Cuff System figure and pre-assembled bondage devices. Davo / Studio B / Ind Cuff Sys /For V4: This folder contains poses for V4 to fit the Cuff System figure and pre-assembled bondage devices. Props Library: Davo / Studio B / Cuffs: This folder contains smart prop neck, wrist and ankle cuffs for M4, V4, M3 and V3. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Figures library features: Base Parenting Nodes A and B: These are a simple diamond and square shaped meshes that display in Poser as a wireframe. These nodes will not render. You can use these nodes as a base/parent figure to parent the other figures and device parts to. This will allow you to move the assemblies around by selecting the node and moving/rotating it. You can use as many of these nodes as you wish. You can then click on the node and save your assembly to the figures library. You should create your own sub folder for your creations. Make sure you select the "whole group" button so all the parts will be saved to the library. Cuff System - Multi: This is a restraining device made popular by websites such as devicebondage.com and infernalrestraints.com The multi system has 2 arm cuffs, 2 leg cuffs, a neck cuff and waist cuff. There is a non-rending sphere located centrally to the figure that is the base node to move around the whole figure should you wish to move/rotate and scale the whole figure. The base node looks like the top half of a mesh sphere. This cuff system has morphs built into some of the pipes to make them wider or higher, use the morphs instead of the xyz scale dials. The morphs are located at the bottom of the parameters dialog box. This figure can be symmetrically mirrored from one side to the other in Poser versions 6 or above. You just need to pose one half of your character and one half of your cuff system, then mirror the results. Pose files can be saved of the cuff system with the morphs intact if you select the "save morphs" and "transformations" boxes when making a pose file. The bases/mounts of all the neck, arm and leg cuffs have master parameter dials that control the width, height and height of the support bar automatically. This feature only works in Poser 6 and above and WILL NOT symmetrically mirror. There is a detailed manual in PDF format that is included with this package. Figure 4 and Figure 5 of the manual explain easy ways to pose the figure. The first couple pages of the manaul explain the naming and part movement heirarchy. Please look at the manual for help. Cuff System - Single: This figure works like the Cuff System - Multi, except that it is only one cuff. You can use this individual cuff as you wish or use it as part of a pre-assembly with other objects from the package. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Parts that you can put together to make your own bondage restraints/equiment: Hook Style A: This is a simple eye hook that can be parented to any other figure. It's good for attaching the provided smart prop neck, wrist and ankle cuffs to. Pipe Base A and B: These is a floor or wall mount to attach pipe segments to. Base B has a collar that is angle adjustable for tilted pipes. Pipe Connectors A - E: These are connectors that connect pipe segments together. Most are angle adjustable. Pipe Post A: This is a figure with a base, pipe segment and pipe connector near the top. The pipe is height adjustable and the connector is posable. Pipe Seg A - E: These are various lengths of pipe that you can parent to the connectors. You can adjust the lengths with the scale dials. Restrain Bar Style A - C: These are posable restraining bars with 2 sides and a cross pipe or two. There is a non-rending sphere mesh between the posts that can be used to move the whole bar figure around. You can move the bases from side to side, adjust the post lengths then adjust the cross bar lengths. These are symmetrical mirroring so adjust the "right" side posts and connectors first, then mirror the result to the left side and adjust the cross bar length. Seat Style A and B: These are a couple of padded seats you use to sit your characters on. They are posable and adjustable. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Sub-folders Assem M4 and Assem V4 have 3 pre-assembled restraint devices in each folder, fit for M4 or V4. There are matching pose files in the pose libraries. The pre-assembled devices are all parented to the diamond shaped base node located centraly to the assemblies and slightly under the floor level. If you move the node around, the whole figure moves around. The smart prop wrist and ankle cuffs are required for these pre-assemblies and are provided in the props folder called Cuffs. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Pose libraries: There is a generic pose for the multi cuff system figure that will raise the bottom connection pipe and connector above floor level. This is a usefull pose in case you want to use the cuff sytems higher than floor level. The default position of the cuffs have these 2 connectors under the floor so the cuffs appear to be flush or at their closes point to the floor. The M4 and V4 pose libraries have 3 poses for the pre-assembled restraining devices and 3 poses for the multi cuff sytem and matching pose for V4 and M4. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Saving poses and pre-assemblies to the libraries. If you wish to create your own poses for M4 and V4 to be used along with the cuff system - multi figure, follow the guidelines below: 1. Pose your character in a satisfactory position. 2. Insert the cuff system figure and pose one half of the figure (preferably the right side) then mirror the pose to the other side with the Figure/Symmetry command. Remember, in poser 6 and higher the morphs will mirror. 3. Save the pose for your V4 or M4 character to the pose library. Do not save the "morphs" on your character. 4. Save the pose of the multi cuffs to the library, be sure to check the "morphs" and "transformation" boxes (in this case you do want to save them). 5. Test poses for your character and cuff system figure. You are allowed to share your poses for your characters and the cuff system with others, or even sell them if you wish. You CAN NOT include any geometry files (obj) or texture files (.jpg) Only the .cr2 and/or .pz2 and associated .png files may be included in your shared files. Other people will need to previously own the character which you made a pose for and must own the Studio B "Industrial Cuff System" package created by Davo. Your readme files and advertisement must state that my package is required. (Since it my package has the needed obj files and textures). Pre-assemblies: The rest of the items in the library can be used to piece together your own equipment. I have provided some pipe base figures, pipes of various lengths and different posable pipe connectors that let you fit them together with angles. Have a look at www.devicebondage.com or do a google search in images to get some ideas. I have provided a couple base parenting nodes (A and B) that you can parent the parts of your creation to so they can all be moved around easily. You might want to use a couple of them in your creations if you want to have some clever movement options. Remember to think through "heirarchy" as you parent things together. You could parent a pipe base, some connectors and pipes to each other, then parent the main part of those collections to a node. There are a couple of seat styles in there as well. Rotate and position as needed. After creating a pre-assembly, move the base node around to make sure the whole thing moves together. Also, do a Figure/memorize/all then a Figure/restore all test to see if any of the parts move out of place, if they do, move them back into position and memorize again until it all sticks together as desired. Click on the base node you parented everything to and save it to the library making sure the "include whole group" (or something like that) box is checked so all the parts will be saved. You can make an associated pose for your V4 or M4 character and save it to the pose library. You are allowed to share your poses for your characters and the pre-assemblies with others, or even sell them if you wish. Many of the surfaces of the equipment have ray-trace materials built into the material zones to create reflections. You must enable ray tracing in your render settings. Most people set the ray trace bounces value to 2 bounces. The more bounces, the longer and more complex the render time will be. If you do not enable ray trace, the scene will still render, just no reflections will show up. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This is a companion product to the Studio B "The Storage Room" package also sold at renderotica in the Davo store.
