This expansion pack set features additional figures and smart props designed to work with Dreadworks 4 Core Package. This includes one additional Table, one additional Restraint Device, Robotic Armature figures with smart prop diabolical tools and some additional tool tips for the Table 1 figure in the Core Package. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- System Requirements: - PC and Mac compatible - Requires Poser 8+ - DazStudio version is available with material/surface zone adjustments and poses for the Genesis 3 Female Figure - All files in .obj, .cr2, .png and .jpg format. - Dreadworks Core Package is required for the use of Table 1 in conjuction with the expansion packs Table 1 tool additions, poses and Robot Armature 5 figure. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- To install, open the zip file and extract the contents (make sure "use folders" option is checked to the location of your poser.exe file. For example: c:/program files/curious labs/poser 5 or c:/program files/Smith Micro/Poser 8 You may also install to a different location of your choice if you wish to use an external runtime location. There is also a re-positionable control panel with posable levers. Between the two vertical towers is a null base that is the base part of this figure for moving it all around. The null base is displayed as a wireframe in poser's preview mode and will not show up in renders. The rail/bar on the arms and leg restraints have a length morph to adjust the length of the rail/bar. Pose files for V4 are provided in the pose library for Restraint 2. You must use the smart prop Dreadworks 4 cuffs from the props library on your characters in conjunction with the restraint and poses. There is a twist morph on the arm and legs cuff holders to turn the cuff holders 90 degrees. This morph only works in one direction and at 90 degrees. You can parent your character to the null base if you wish to move your character and the restraints all at once. ------------------------------------- Robot Arms Library: Note: There are smart prop tool tips in the props library that correspond to each robotic arm. To attach the tool tips, click on the robotic arm in your preview screen and then click to add the tool tip you want from the props library. Two of the tool tips are not smart props, they are posable figures. These figures come pre-parented to the robot armatures in each figure library and are refered to as "combos". They are tools number 6 and 7. Tool 6 is an articulated spreader device for spreading body cavities in such situations as surgery or autopsy. Tool 7 is an anticulated Suction Device with a tube head that can be positioned on your character, then the hose can be easyposed back to the tool receptical. The Tube head has some shape and bending morphs. Robot Arm 4: This is an industrial robot armature with two easypose tentacle/hose with easypose bending technology. Bending control nodes in the hose are easy to see in poser as they are displayed as wireframe. You can move the rThead and lThead hose tips around to a desired location and pose the hoses back to the receptacles on the machine. There are right and left side smart prop tool tips in the props library that automaticaly import onto the hose tips. This figure also has a couple of repositionable fluid tanks with morphing fluid levels. There is a repositionable control panel as well. There is a combo of Tool tips 6 and 7 pre-parented in the Robot Arm 4 Library. Robot Arm 5: Note: Robot Arm 5 requires the Dreadworks 4 Core package (sold seperately) in order to use Combo tools 1-3 This is an industrial style robotic armature that is similar to the Table 1 tool armature (except with a modified base). The acon2, acon4 and acon6 body parts have length morphs to adjust the length of the rail/piston. Just move those body parts up/down to the desired location and apply the morph to extend or shorten the rails. There are pre-parented combos in the library with the Table 1 tools already applied. ------------------------------------- Tables Library: Table 1 / Expansion 1 library: Note: Require the Table 1 figure from the Dreadworks 4 Core package (sold seperately) in order to use effectively use Tools 4 and 5 Tool 4: This is a breast milking tool tip with easypose bending hoses. Each cup can be positioned on the breast and then use the easypose bending nodes (displayed as wireframe in poser) to pose the hoses back into the Tee. The Tee can then be posed back into the hosing on the tool head. There is a fluid collection tank on the bottom of the tool base with a morphing fluid level. A pose file for the table, Tool 4 and V4 is provided in the pose library. Tool 5: This is a vacuum style device that can be fixed to your characters crotch region. The cup can be positioned then it's hose posed back into the tool base with the eaypose bending nodes (displayed in poser as wireframe). Inside the cup is a separate probe that can be posed like the cup. The probe has some shape morphs built in. Pre-parented tool combos are provided in this library. Table 3 library: Table 3: This is an articulated restraint table with posable arm and leg holders/cuffs. The table is angle and height adjustable. The left and right 'con1' and 'con2' parts have length adjustment morphs for extension or shortening of the rails. There are pose files for V4 in the pose library. You must use the smart prop cuffs that are provided in conjunction with this figure. There is also a 'ram' in the center of the table to push your characters back or stomach away from the table. Parent your character to the 'table' part after posing if you want to move the table and your character around. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Props Libraries: Cuffs Library: There is a subfolder for the cuffs: V4_M4: These are for V4 and M4 figures. These libraries contain smart prop cuffs to use in conjunction with the Dreadworks 4 package. These smart props will automatically position and parent to your characters. To apply the cuffs, click on your character in your preview window, then click to add each cuff, they will position automatically. ---------------------------------------- Robot Arm Tool libraries: These libraries contain smart prop tool tips for the different Robot Arm tool figues from the character libraries. A brief description of each tool is listed below: Tool 1: This is a bladed tool tip for cutting Tool 2: This is a laser tip tool. There are a couple of laser beam morphs for length and diameter on the tool. Tool 3: This is a syringe style tool. There is a plunger morph that moves the plunger in and out. Tool 4: This is a tweezers style tool, there is a morph to spread the tweezer tips apart. Tool 5: This is a suctioning tool. Tool 8: This is a dildo tool tip with some bending and shaping morphs. Tool 6 and 7 are articulated tools, or figures, so they are in the character/figures library. Each robot arm tool figure library already has one of these tools pre-parented in a "combo" option. These tools are described in the Robot Arm libraries section of the readme. Some of the Robot Arm tool libraries have a dual set of tool tips for the Robot Arm tool figures that have two tool holders. Click on the robot arm figure and choose the right or left tool tip option and it will automatically apply. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Pose Libraries: The pose libraries contain poses for the different tables and restraints in this package. There are V4 poses and matching poses for the equipment they are related to. You must first apply the poses to your character and restraint or table, then if you want to move the equipment with your character moving with them, you must parent your character to the equipment. Note: Table 1 Combo poses for Tools 4 and 5 require the Table 1 figure from the Dreadworks 4 Core package (sold seperately) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- NOTES ABOUT RAYTRACING: Raytrace properties have been built into the material zones on these figures. In order to take advantage of raytracing in Poser, you will have to 'enable' raytracing in the render properties settings. I suggest a minimum of 2 raytrace bounces. More bounces will slow down rendering times. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- NOTES ABOUT EASYPOSE: EASYPOSE is an advanced posing system that allows the user to bend and twist several segments of a figure at the same time. Many elements in this package have easypose bending technology built in such as hoses and tubing. There are some limitations to easypose such as you cannot symmetrical mirror easypose bending from one half of the figure to another. Only segments that are manipulated with the standard xyz rotations can be mirrored. It is advised that if you want to manipulate your figure by pulling some of the segments of a hose or feature that has easypose built in, you should not use the Translate/Pull tool. Using this tool may cause undesired results such as the figure suddenly curling up and twisting. If this occures, use the undo command immediately.
