The Terminus 5 Garrote Set lets you do a nice slow strangle in a variety of compromising poses. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- System Requirements: - PC and Mac compatible - Requires Poser 8+ - DazStudio version is available (sold separately) with material/surface zone adjustments and poses for the Genesis 3 figures - All files in .obj, .cr2, .png and .jpg format. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- To install, open the zip file and extract the contents (make sure "use folders" option is checked to the location of your poser.exe file. For example: c:/program files/curious labs/poser 5 or c:/program files/Smith Micro/Poser 8 You may also install to a different location of your choice if you wish to use an external runtime location. Do not include "runtime" in the extraction path, it is already specified in the zip file. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The figure files will be extracted to the Figures/Character library: Davo / Terminus 5 / Garrote Packs : Contains the following subfolder: Garrote 1: Contains the Garrote 1 figure and Garrote Chair ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The props files will be extracted to the Props library: Davo / Basic Iron Cuffs / V4M4 : Contains the basic iron cuff smart props used in conjunction with the provided V4/M4 poses Davo / Terminus 5 / Garrote Pack: This folder contains the V4 and M4 neck magnets ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Pose files will be extracted to the Pose library: Davo / Terminus 5 / This folder contains subfolders: Garrote 1: Contains subfolders for V4 and M4 with multiple posing options. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Figure Library Descriptions: Garrote 1: This unique garrote device is intended to provide multiple garroting styles such as simple rope restiction with a crank handle or motor, Neck compression/breaking style with crank handle or compression/neck impalement spike with crank handle style. You can also have these options in a seated position, standing or kneeling. It's really up to you how you want to do them in! The Garrote has many morph size adjustments on most of the parts so you can best fit a custom character, so explore all the morph options on your parts. The garrote is also side-side symmetrical posing, so you only have to pose half your character and half the garrote and mirror the results for faster posing. Most parts can be moved out of view or repositioned. There The neck rope has easypose bending technology built into the rope, this allows you to bend/twist/rotate the rope segments easily to get a nice fit. The master control nodes are displayed in poser in wireframe display mode, but will render normally. The first segment of the neck rope has an "overall scale" dial that will lengthen the entire rope at once. Some default poses are provided for make the rope slack, loose or tight. The v4 poses have a "Rope Tighter" pose that will constrict the rope a little more so it depresses into the skin on V4's neck, to simulate a very tight strangle. There are 3 posing option sets in this package. See the Pose Libraries section below. Parent your character to the garrotes "post" body part before applying poses. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Props Libraries: Cuffs Library: (most of the poses need the wrist/ankle cuffs in conjunction with the restraints/equipment), Please check before rendering. Davo / Basic Scifi Cuffs: contains smart prop wrist, ankle and neck cuffs for V4/M4. To apply the cuffs, click on your character in the scene, then click to add each cuff, they will position automatically. ------------------------------ Garrote Library Props Davo / Terminus 5 / Garrote Pack: This folder contains the M4 or V4 neck mags you will need for the "B" poses. Click on your character then click on the mags from the library, they will automatically parent and depress the skin on your characters neck. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Pose Libraries: SPECIAL NOTE FOR POSING: Posing for V4 or M4 is based on the standard sized and proportioned base character from Daz3d. If you have a heavily morphed or resized/shaped custom character, you will possibly need to make some manual adjustments on your character and the product equipment for positioning. Parent your V4 or M4 character to the piece of equipment noted in the information png file in the pose libraries and as specified in this readem. After they are parented, you can apply the poses. For the most part, there are "a" and "b" poses which are a before (slack) and after (strangled) pose. The Garrote 1 Set has Poses for M4 and V4 in 3 diffent setups: Neck Rope Setup: This set of poses is intended for a rope strangulation style. Parent your character to the garrote's "post" body part then apply the "A" poses first (if you want a before stangle pose) and then the "B" poses next, or you can go strait to the "B" poses. You will need the neck mag props from the props library for the "B" poses. Neck Slide Setup: This set of poses is intended for neck compression/breaking style strangulation. Parent your character to the garrote's "post" body part then apply the "A" poses first (if you want a before stangle pose) and then the "B" poses next, or you can go strait to the "B" poses. You will need the neck mag props from the props library for the "B" poses. Neck Spike Setup: This set of poses is intended for neck compression/spine impalement style execution. Parent your character to the garrote's "post" body part then apply the "A" poses first (if you want a before stangle pose) and then the "B" poses next, or you can go strait to the "B" poses. You will need the neck mag props from the props library for the "B" poses. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- NOTES ABOUT RAYTRACING AND GAMMA CORRECTION: Raytrace properties have been built into the material zones on these figures. In order to take advantage of raytracing in Poser, you will have to 'enable' raytracing in the render properties settings. I suggest a minimum of 2 raytrace bounces. More bounces will slow down rendering times. ***NOTES ABOUT RENDERING/GAMA CORRECTION IN POSER PRO 2012 AND HIGHER VERSIONS*** This packages textures and material zones were assigned in Poser 9 / 2012.
