                            ABOUT THE SET
======================================================================

YOU CAN FIND ALL CONTENT FOR THIS SET IN THE POSES/ACEPYX/SUSPENSION 2 FOLDER OF YOUR GENESIS 3 FEMALE AND GENESIS 3 MALE LIBRARY


This set of poses is designed to be applied primarily to Genesis 3 figures. It depicts males and females restrained and hanging from ropes. 


LIMITS ON/OFF
A couple of the poses move the figures beyond DAZ's default posing limits. When you apply these poses, DAZ will ask if you want to turn limits off. This will in no way have a detrimental effect on any other part of your scene so answer yes.

CLOTHED OR NUDE
All of the poses have been created for nude figures because it's impossible to predict the size or shape of all possible clothing or hair options. This means that hands may be closer to the body than they would if the figure is clothed. This is incredibly easy to adjust if you want your figures clothed. Simply select a view that is side on to any hands you may wish to adjust, then use DAZ Studio's Universal Tool to grab the hands and make any minor adjustments.

A DAZ STUDIO SHADER BUG
Sometimes, when body parts are touching underlying clothing, the body parts pick up the shader properties of the clothing beneath. This is a bug with DAZ Studio. To overcome this, either move the body part away from the clothed part until it stops taking the underlying shader, or do two renders, one clothed and one nude, then composite them in your preferred image editor.


ROPES
This package includes a couple of basic ropes. The ropes can be found in the props folder. The loops come in 2 types - parented and non-parented. Non parented ropes will simply load into your scene at ground level ready to be positioned and sized however you wish. The parented ropes can be applied directly to wrists, ankles, neck, chest, elbows, and knees and will move in figure space rather than world space (so for instance, Y translation will move along the character's arm regardless of how the arm is oriented). To use them, FIRST SELECT THE FIGURE TO WHICH YOU WANT TO APPLY THE ROPE then load the required rope from the conforming ropes folder. Some loops will require minor position and size tweaking according to the figure and pose you apply it to. 

Every loop rope includes multiple morphs so that you can tweak them to fit your requirements.

Please note* Not all morphs work together, especially at extreme limits.

*tip - Scaling - You will often find it better to use negative values of the "circle large" parameter to decrease the size of a loop rather than using the scale option which will also decrease the thickness of the ropes.
*tip - Texturing - If you increase the size of ropes you may need to increase the number of vertical tiles in the surfaces tab, or even the maximum displacement to make the textures look right on the larger figure.

*PRO TIP
By default, no Poser/DAZ figures have geometry that responds to collisions with solid surfaces. Extreme poses with body parts pressing against each other, or any pose in which a figure is standing, kneeling or seated will look unrealistic if you simply position the body parts so that they simply touch the surface. For standing, sitting or kneeling figures, I always bury the figure a little way into the surface that they are in contact with. For extrememe poses or siimply when body parts are in close contact with each other, you may wish to use DAZ Studio's Deformers to depress the underlying geometry so that points of contact look more realistic.
