Thank you for puchasing The Terminus-4 "Total Carnage" package from Davo To install, open the zip file and extract the contents (make sure "use folders" option is checked) to the location of your poser.exe file. For example: c:/program files/curious labs/poser 5 Do not include "runtime" in the extraction path, it is already specified in the zip file. The files will be extracted to: Figures/Characters library: Terminus-4 / main folder plus subfolders: Execution Room and Prison Yard Pose library: Terminus-4 / subfolders: Autohang, Back Stop Poses, Chopping Blocks, Coffin, Electric Chair, Flogging Posts, Gallow 1, Gallow 2, Gallow 3, Gallow 4, Gallow 5 Long Drop, Gallow 5 Short Drop, Garrote Post, Guillotine, Hanging Beam, Hanging Post, Hot Box Props library: Terminus-4 / (tight throat magnets) main folder plus subfolder: Cuffs The Total Carnage package contains the Core Package, Hanging Package and Beheading Package. All times will be described by package. Core Package contains: Execution Room Subfolder: Execution Room: This is a medium sized room with posble doors and window shutters. Each wall, ceiling, and floor 2 can be moved to a new position or hidden for good camera angles. Most equipment in the Terminus packages will be able to fit into this room for indoor exections. Floor 1 is the parent base of this figure for moving it around. The default position of the room is doors in front and back, side walls on right and left. You can rotate the room around 90 degrees to fit the equipment along one of the side walls. The floor is split into 2 halves to allow the use of a trap door pit on one of the hanging gallows. The execution room comes in a shadow casting and non-shadow casting version. Choose which one suits you based on your experience with lighting. Non-shadow casting is easier for lighting novices. Special Note for all "hanging/garrote" poses: There are many ways to restrain your characters, hands tied in front or back, legs tied or not tied, etc. I don't provide restraints for the Terminus-4 packages, so the poses I provide for v4 are mininal, in most cases, only the hip placement and neck and head for the "after hang" poses. The poses are progressive, you should start with the before-hang, then mid-hang (if provided), then after-hang. I have supplied a "Generic arm-leg pose" folder in each pose library, this will allow you to apply some alternative arm and leg poses that will not affect the hip/neck head locations required by the before, mid and after poses. There are "zero" morphs also in the generic arm leg folder. The nooses are all parented to each gallow figure, not an actual part of the figure, you will have to apply the before and after poses the noose as well as to v4. The v4 "After" pose requires the use of the "Tight Throat" magnets in the props library. Hanging Beam: The "Hanging Beam" is made to fit length wise in this room (door wall to door wall). There is a pose in the Hanging beam pose library to re-position the room to the beam. The beam comes with 1 noose base and add-on noose rope plus (2) add-on noose bases with noose ropes attached (left and right noose poses in the pose library). See Special note about hanging poses above. Prison Yard: The prison yard is a 4 walls courtwall with a posable door in one wall. The yard is large enough to fit the exection room, large ground berm and large concrete pad. The prison comes in a shadow casting and non-shadow casting version. Choose which one suits you based on your experience with lighting. Non-shadow casting is easier for lighting novices. There are 4 add-on barbwire/electric fencing figures that go on each wall. These items have a lot of geometry and might slow down rendering speed or take up a lot of resources on your system. Only use them if you have to. You will have to parent the wires to each wall after inserting them. Large ground berm. This berm comes into the scene a little below ground level. This can be adjusted up and down, and it's size can be adjusted as well. This makes a good prop for simple renders where you don't want backgrounds. Large Concrete pad. This is a good pad to perform some executions. Makes a nice ground plane for simple renders. Core Package equipment/furnishings: Autohang: The autohang is a mechanized hanging device. It has a concrete pedestal/backwall and a wooden backboard with hanging arm and electric switch. There are 2 rope props, one slack, one tight, that fit between the pulley and back board. Before hanging, use the slack rope, after hanging, use the tight rope (these are hidden in the hanging arm). There is an add-on noose parented to the autohang. See the special note on hanging poses above for useage. The v4 "After" pose requires the use of the "Tight Throat" magnets in the props library. Back Stop: This is a firing squad type of backdrop figure with posable pole and movable wall. There are 2 additional posts parented to this figure. Remove if you don't want to use them. There is pose files avaiable in the pose library for M4 and V4. Poses are generic, you will have to supply your own restraining rope. An additional post is also available in the figures folder. Blood Plane 1,2 and 3: These are transparent flat planes with a blood spatter texture. You can use these anywere. You can resize them to your desire. Blood plane 3 is more of a cut neck blood spatter patern, it comes in at neck height. Move it to position around your characters neck. These will be useful for the Back Stop firing squad figure/setup. Benches 1,2 and 3: These are wooden benches of varying size and shape. Use them to seat prisoners on or use them to have prisoners stand on for hanging. Coffin: It's a coffin, pose files for M4 and V4 included. The cross can be moved out of site or made invisible. The lid can be moved. Electric Chair: Fully posable chair with easypose belt/restraining straps for the abdomen and wrists. Posable leg stocks. Head cap with posable cable that fits into tube behind chair. Posable electrical box switch. There is are pose files for M4 and V4 and associated poses for the chair. The belts have symmetrical mirroring ability. The belts have easypose but easypose is not used in theM4 and V4 pose files, this is because easypose information cannot be stored in a pose file. If you wish to use the easypose, you can "zero" the figure with the joint editor. The controlling nodes for the easypose are easily identified by the "mesh display" segments that show up in poser. The control nodes control 10 segments at a time, this allows for easier posing control. The back board with strap bases can be repositioned as wall as the arms of the chair and leg stocks. Flogging Post 1: This is a fully posable post that is height adjustable and has posable chains. The chains have symmetrical mirroring ability. A few pose files for V4 and M4 plus associated pose files for the post are in the pose library. The smart prop wrist cuffs in the props folder are required for this use with this post. Flogging Post 2: This is a static flogging post with a rack like look and feel. There are pose files for V4 and M4 in the pose library. Smart prop wrist and ankle cuffs are not required, but recommended for use with this post, the poses are based on the cuff ring locations. Garrote Post: This is a fully posable garrote post for choking style executions. There are 2 themed pose sets for the post, one is seated, the other is standing. Pose files in the pose library are available for V4 and associated pose for the post. See the special note on hanging/garrote poses for v4 above. The seat on the post has a dildo attached, the dildo and seat can be repositioned or removed. The v4 "After" pose requires the use of the "Tight Throat" magnets in the props library. Hot Box: The hot box is a tightly confining, metal siding and wood box that is set out in the sun. There are 2 posable chains at the top of the box. The chains have symmetrical mirroring ability. There is a pose file for the shack and M4 and V4 in the pose library. Noose-Long Rope: This is as stand alone noose figure. It has 3 bending styles that have easypose. The noose rings pose, the neck rope poses and the hanging rope (from noose rings to gallow connection) poses. The first noose ring is the parent base that moves the entire rope figure. The intention is to position the first noose ring and then position your character. Then you pose the neck rope around the neck and back into the base of the noose. You can then pose the hanging rope from the nooses back up to the gallow connections. The "mesh display" segments on the hang rope and neck rope are the easypose controlling nodes and they control 10 segments at a time. I feel that this is easier for posing since you are not trying to control the bending of the entire rope from start to finish. Noose-Short Rope: Same as the long rope except it has fewer hanging rope segments. Both nooses can be attached to just about anything. A Noose coil base (can be connected to a beam and re-sized, it also has a knotted rope stub to poke the end of the hanging rope into). A rope coil base is also provided, this can be placed on a beam and resized, then wrap the end of the noose rope into it to match. Platform Large: This is a wooden platform with re-positionable steps and adjustable height. The siding planks can be moved up and down or out of view. Platform Small: This is taken from the electric chair and made into it's own platform that can be combined or used with other items. There are smart prop wrist and ankle cuffs with rope or chain loops attached to them. These are smart props and will snap into place and be parented to your character automaticaly. There are cuffs for M3, M4, V3 and V4. The Hanging Package contains: Special Note for all "hanging/garrote" poses: There are many ways to restrain your characters, hands tied in front or back, legs tied or not tied, etc. Gallow 1: This is a short drop gallow with add-on short noose rope. The drop plank, release bar and foot pedal are posable. There are pose files for V4 and associated poses for the noose. See the Special Note above for v4 hanging poses. The v4 "After" pose requires the use of the "Tight Throat" magnets in the props library. Gallow 2: This is a short drop gallow with add-on short noose rope. There is also an add-on right and left noose base and rope. Pose files are include for the right, middle and left noose configurations in the pose library. See the Special Note above for v4 hanging poses. The v4 "After" pose requires the use of the "Tight Throat" magnets in the props library. Gallow 3: This is a long drop gallow that works in conjunction with the execution room from the core pack. The "Floor 1" half of the floor of the execution room should be turned off (made invisible) and the room position pose applied from the pose library to position the room around the gallow. The trap doors open and close on the gallow and the release lever is posable. There is also an add-on right and left noose base and rope. Pose files are include for the right, middle and left noose configurations in the pose library. See the Special Note above for v4 hanging poses. The v4 "After" pose requires the use of the "Tight Throat" magnets in the props library. Gallow 4: This is an adjustable height gallow with right and left noose options. Right and left noose ropes have been added to the gallow. Pose files for both sides are in the pose library. See the Special Note above for v4 hanging poses. The v4 "After" pose requires the use of the "Tight Throat" magnets in the props library. Gallow 5 Short Drop: This is a stand along gallow armature and add-on short noose rope. Pose files are provided in the pose library. This gallow can be added to other items of your choice, just leave room for your victim to drop. See the Special Note above for v4 hanging poses. The v4 "After" pose requires the use of the "Tight Throat" magnets in the props library. Gallow 5 Long Drop: This is a pre-assembled gallow used in conjunction with the scaffold figure. The drop platform has been parented to the scaffold as well as the Gallow 5 armature. The noose-long rope has been add-on. There are pose files in the pose library. If you want to add more gallow armatures, use the same pose files as in the library, just shift over the scaffold to the right or left before adding another gallow armature. See the Special Note above for v4 hanging poses. The v4 "After" pose requires the use of the "Tight Throat" magnets in the props library. Drop Platform: This is a generic platform with posable levers, release bars and drop platform. The hinge on the back of the drop form is the base location, you can place the platform on the side of other object, just swing the drop platform open and closed a few times to get it positioned correctly. This platform has been added to the Gallow 5 long drop. Hanging Post: This figure has an add-on noose rope, adjustable height, posable rope winch and connection rope with side to side morphs. The add-on noose rope goes up and connects to the top of the post, then the extra rope segments are hidden inside the post. There are pose files for the noose and v4 in the pose library. See the Special Note above for v4 hanging poses. The v4 "After" pose requires the use of the "Tight Throat" magnets in the props library. Ramp Steps: This is a simple ramp with wheels and steps. It can be used well in conjunction with Gallow 4. Scaffold Tower: The scaffold tower has 2 platforms at the top, one is a solid platform, the other has a trap-door drop platform. The trap-door platform has been placed beneath the tower, of view, to use it, set it's "y" transation dial to 0.0 and move the other platform down and out of view, or make it invisible. The bracing on the front and sides of the tower can be moved up and down. The concrete blocks at the base of the tower is the parent base of the figure, move these to move the entire tower. You can adjust the height of the tower to make it lower to the ground, just select the posts and move the tower down, you can then reposition the side and front/back bracing out of view or lower. The scaffold railings can be removed or height adjusted if needed. Scaffold Stairs: This figure is used in conjunction with the Scaffold tower. It comes in to the rear of the scaffold. The stairs can be moved lower and sunk into/beneath the concrete pad at the bottom. This allows for height adjustment to match the scaffold if you adjusted the tower height. The Beheading Package contains: Guillotine: This is a fully articulated and posable guillotine with sliding blade with easypose rope, retrieval rope with easypose, posable release, posable table with movable foot block, wicker basket and posable back and leg straps/belts that have easypose built in. There is an alternative bloody texture for the guillotine that can be applied with a mat pose. Pose files for V4 and M4 and associated guillotine poses are provided. Easypose is not used on the posed belt straps since easypose information does not get stored in pose files. You can use easypose for your own custom setups if you wish. All you have to do is "zero" the figure with the joint editor. The "mesh display" segments on the belts/straps are the controling easy pose nodes and control 10 segments at a time, this makes bending and twisting easier. The wicker basket on the guillotine is a single sided mesh, you cannot set the sides of the basket if you are looking into the basket, they will show up in renders though. The basket has displacement mapping, if this is an issue, you can plug it into the bump node. Head Spike: There is a head spike with clean and bloody textures. A mat pose file is provided. chopping Block: This is a bloody textured wood block to chop heads (or other parts) It is pre-parented to the Chopping Post figure. Chopping Post 1: This is a kneeling style chopping post, forces victims to knees. Pose files for post, M4 and V4 are included. Smart prop wrist cuffs are required for use. Cuffs are provided in props folder. Chopping Post 2: This is a posable standing chopping post, forcing the victim to stand up and bend at the waist. Pose files for post, M4 and V4 are included. Smart prop wrist cuffs are required for use. Cuffs are provided in props folder. Chopping Sword: This is a single edge heavy sword that can be used to chop off parts. No pose files included. Special Note to Customers: There are some rope props shown in the promo images for this product.
