************************************************************ Read Me file: Freak Her Out by Andrus63 Copyright (2012) Andrus63 ************************************************************ How to Install. To install, open the zip file. Drop the ?runtime? folder into your Poser or Daz Studio directory, and the files should install in their proper places. You can find the contents of this product under: Libraries/pose/Andrus63/FreakHerOut and Libraries/face/Andrus63/FreakHerOut The poses have not been tested on a Mac - they should work fine, but if you find a problem please let us know! They have been tested in Poser 7 and Poser 9, in Poser Pro 12; and in Daz Studio 4. ************************************************************ How to use. We strongly advise that you turn inverse kinematics and limits off, as otherwise poses will not all work. Load V4 and F4(s) so that ?body? translation and rotation parameters are identical, so that the figures overlap each other. Apply poses to the correct figures - they will move into position relative to each other. Use ?body? (not ?Hip?) to move figures around the scene. Keep the parameters identical for the different figures, and the groups will stay together. You could try parenting the figures to each other?s bodies to move as a unit, but we find V4 sometimes does odd things when parented to another figure, so it?s safer to parent the F4s to V4 if you want to try this. ************************************************************ Scales and morphs These poses are designed to work with a default V4 and the default Freak4 body. That is, with the Freak scale set to 1 and Monstrous body set to 0.7. There should be few problems putting clothes on the scaled Freak in Poser 8 or 9 (check the copy scales box in the body properties for the clothing). For those using older versions of Poser who want to clothe the Freak, versions of the poses are included for the Freak with the scale turned off. These are also the versions to use if you want to use the poses for a non-freaky M4. Only the F4/M4 poses have been altered, so it is possible to have an M4 and an F4 together in the same group with V4. Poses may need adjustment for bodies morphed away from these defaults, and similarly may need adjustment for clothes or hair. The large amount of contact between the figures means that several of the poses will need adjustment for morphed figures. There is no real way to avoid this. It may be useful to use a magnet in some cases to ?squash? hair under a hand. ************************************************************ Squishiness! Poser figures are not like real people. Real bodies squash when you press them, Poser figures don't. In a number of these poses bodies are pressed together and in the real world would squish. In particular where the Freak is gripping V4 tightly his fingers are frequently actually slightly overlapping V4. We feel this looks better than having the bodies just, or not quite, touching. For close-ups Poser 7+ users may want to experiment with the morphing tool for greater realism; otherwise this gives a good impression of a tight grip. Some poses also have similar issues around the thighs; again real bodies would distort. We?ve tried to keep this to a minimum, but in some cases it is unavoidable, and can look better if the alternative is leaving a gap. ************************************************************ Expressions and genitals All expressions will work on on any M4 or V4, with slightly differing results. They will not affect character morphs. Please particularly note that the F4 expressions were designed to work with the heavier features of the Freak, rather than the default M4. The expressions are given numbers relating to the poses; in general these are just suggestions, and you can use any expression you like. (The exceptions are two of V4's. We think you can probably tell which two!) You can also apply V4's expressions to F4/M4 and F4's expressions to V4, but we give no guarantees of the outcomes! The expressions do move the eyes, so the characters are looking where they should be looking. The expressions should not overwrite head morphs. The zeroes will only affect the basic expressions and the M++/V++ expression morphs, not any add-on packs you may have. The M4 genital poses are for the standard DAZ M4 genitals. For some reason Daz seem to have been reluctant to give M4's genitals a full range of body morphs! The included FreakGenFit pose using transformations and slight adjustments to give a reasonable fit to the Freak. Sorry, it is not an actual morph, and will need manual adjustment for different levels of freakiness! To use the pose conform the genitals to F4, then apply the FreakGenFit pose, before applying the individual poses. ************************************************************ Upside-down Hair A couple of the poses in this set (and in our others) have V4's head hanging upside down. This can cause problems for hair. One solution is to use short hair that wouldn't move much. Another is to use dynamic hair (as we have in our front page promo). This can look good, but requires a powerful computer to give reasonable hair densities, and can take a long time to calculate and render. There are a few transmapped hair props around which give upside-down hair, but we are not aware of one that does both upside-down and normal, so if you want to show the same character in different positions you have a problem. With some prop based hairs you can get good results by simply rotating the hair as required. For the second promos for pose 5 and 11 we used a slightly more sophisticated approach. We used the Forest Princess hair from DAZ, but the same approach should work with others. Basically we attached 2 copies of the hair to V4, turned one upside down and then used the material room to make parts of each prop invisible. So, on the normal hair the ponytail and bangs (with associated wisps) are invisible, whilst on the upside down hair the skullcap and base are invisible. The position is adjusted, scales and morphs used to give the best look for the individual scene. The major difficulty is that Poser won't let you attach 2 hair props to the same figure. To get round this first re-save the hair you want to use as a normal (pp2) prop. Then you can give V4 as many copies as you like! Morphs in the hair seem to work fine after it's been re-saved, but for some reason you can't use the original mc6s in the material room to apply the textures, so we suggest you use one copy of the hr2 hair, then use cut and paste in the material room to copy textures to the prop. If you are using a figure based hair you could parent (not conform) a second copy to V4, without having to re-save it, and treat it in the same way. Sorry ? we've not experimented enough with Daz Studio to see if this trick can be made to work in DS4 as well. ************************************************************ Disclaimer These poses are intended for portraying fantasies. They are not intended to encourage or condone real violence against women (or men!). We hope you have fun with these poses.
