If you wish to manually install the files unzip the product to the following directories: \Poser 4\Runtime\libraries\Pose\DP Anim 01\ HOW TO BEGIN: 1. I would recommend loading all characters with "Use Limits" turned OFF. 2. For Poses 1 and 2 (Rear Entry, Titty Luv) all Inverse Kinematics should be set to OFF. For Pose 3 (Sixty-Nine) all four of Vicky's Inverse Kinematics should be set to ON. Experiment as necessary for optimal results. 3. Start your version of Poser. Open a new Poser window. 4. Load Vicky first at coordinates 0,0,0 as Figure Number 1 in the new window. Adjust her body translation dials as necessary to ensure that she is at coordinates 0,0,0. 5. Load Michael next at coordinates 0,0,0 as Figure Number 2. Adjust his body translation dials as necessary to ensure that he is at coordinates 0,0,0. These poses were designed with Michael's figure scaled to 107% to make him slightly larger than Victoria. Go to Michael's Body parameters and set the Scale dial to 107%. Do the same thing for Michael's genital prop as well. Select Michael's figure again and press CTRL-D or select Figure/Drop to Floor on the Main Menu to make sure that Mike is properly grounded. 6. Apply the desired pose to Vicky first, Michael second. Apply the M3 GENS pose to Michael last. In some circumstances the M3 GENS pose may cause cross-talk issues with Victoria. This situation is usually remedied by reloading her pose. 7. At this point it is always a good idea to parent one figure to another. I recommend parenting Michael (Figure 2) to Vicky (Figure 1): From the Main Menu select Window/Hierarchy Editor. Select the line with Michael's figure number (Figure 2), then drag and drop this onto Vicky's figure number (Figure 1). Michael is now successfully parented to Vicky. You may now close the Hierarchy window. 8. Now you may select the Parent Figure (Vicky) and rotate or translate her in any direction that you desire. Michael will move right along with her. 9. Now use your camera controls to establish the desired viewing angle. 10. Once you have positioned Mike and Vicky to your satisfaction and have established a suitable viewing angle you are ready to start animating! 11. From the Main Menu select File/Save. The "Save Document As" dialog box will appear. Type in an appropriate name for this particular scene and then click on SAVE. SETTING UP THE ANIMATION: 1. Each of the three poses is designed to work as a 1-second looping 12-frame animation. The parameters of your current scene must now be adjusted so that the resulting animation plays properly. 2. From the Main Menu select Animation/Animation Setup. The Animation Setup dialog box will appear. 3. Set the Frame Rate to 12 and the Frame Count to 12. A dialog box will appear, asking you: "Are you sure you want to delete some of your frames?" Click "OK." 4. From the Main Menu select Animation/Loop Interpolation, making sure that a check mark appears next to "Loop Interpolation." 5. Now you are ready to test your results. Click on the dark ridged tab at the bottom of the Poser interface screen right underneath the main window. A control window with buttons similar to those of a VCR will appear. Make sure that the tiny button on the far left side of the window next to the word "Loop" is turned ON. Above that button are VCR-like controls for FIRST FRAME, END FRAME, STOP, PLAY, STEP BACK and STEP FORWARD. 6. From the Main Menu select Display/Tracking/Fast Tracking (or press SHFT-CTRL-X) making sure that a check mark appears next to "Fast Tracking." 7. Hit the PLAY button. The 12-frame animation will now play in Fast Tracking Mode from beginning to end in a continuous loop. 8. Make any adjustments in viewing angle or character positioning as necessary. 9. Repeat steps 7 ? 8 until satisfied with the initial results. TEST THE ANIMATION: 1. Now you are ready to create a few preliminary test animation files in AVI format. It will only take a few seconds to generate each test file. 2. From the Main Menu select Animation/Make Movie. The Make Movie dialog box will appear. Set Sequence Type to AVI, Resolution to FULL and Quality to CURRENT DISPLAY SETTINGS. 3. Click on OK. 4. A dialog box will appear asking you to "select movie file name." Type in an appropriate title then click SAVE. 5. The Video Compression dialog box will appear. The default selection "Microsoft Video 1" should appear inside of the drop- down menu box labeled "Compression." This should give you satisfactory results. Go ahead and press OK. 6. A status window will appear showing you the progress of your movie file as Poser generates it frame by frame. With all of your settings selected as above this should only take a few seconds. 7. Now your selected Media Player (in this case Microsoft Media Player) should appear. (You may get a dialog box saying that "Windows Media Player cannot play the file." Go ahead and click on CLOSE.) 8. From the Media Player Menu select File/Open, then navigate your way to the directory where you saved the AVI file. 9. Click on the name you selected for the AVI file and then click OPEN. In a few seconds this preliminary test video file will start to play. It should give you a pretty good idea of what the final rendered results will look like. 10. Go back into Poser and make adjustments as necessary. When you are finally satisfied with the look of your test video then it is time to render a final result in either AVI format or in a series of 12 images which you will then convert into an animated GIF file. RENDER THE ANIMATION: 1. The procedure for producing a final render of your animation is very similar to that of creating your preliminary video tests with just a few different choices in menu selection. 2. From the Main Menu select Animation/Make Movie. The Make Movie dialog box will appear. 3. Next you need to determine whether you wish to generate your final render in either AVI file format or in a sequence of 12 images which you will later convert into an animated GIF file. 4. To create a 1-second looping AVI file in full render mode go ahead and set Sequence Type to AVI, Resolution to FULL and Quality to CURRENT RENDER SETTINGS. 5. Click on the Render Settings button and go inside the Render Options dialog box to readjust the settings within as you see fit. If you did readjust any settings then click on OK to return to the Make Movie dialog box. If not then just click on CANCEL. 6. Now click on OK inside of the Make Movie dialog box. 7. A dialog box will appear asking you to "select movie file name." Type in an appropriate title then click SAVE. 8. The Video Compression dialog box will now reappear. The default selection "Microsoft Video 1" should once again appear inside of the drop-down menu box labeled "Compression." Go ahead and press OK. 9. A status window will now appear showing you the progress of your movie file as Poser generates it frame by frame. The time it takes to generate this file depends primarily on your CURRENT RENDER SETTINGS: such factors as image size, resolution level, anti-aliasing and shadows will determine how long it takes Poser to produce an AVI file in full render mode. In any event I would recommend setting aside a period of at least two to three hours to let Poser do it's thing. 10. Once Poser is finished rendering the AVI file your selected Media Player should again reappear. (Again you may get a dialog box saying that "Windows Media Player cannot play the file." Again go ahead and click on CLOSE.) 11. From the Media Player Menu select File/Open, then navigate your way to the directory where you saved the AVI file. 12. Click on the name you selected for the AVI file and then click OPEN. In a few seconds your AVI file in full render mode will begin to play. 13. It's a good idea to render one or two still images before going ahead and rendering the entire animation. This will give you a better idea of what your final results will look like and improve the chances that your full rendered animation will be to your satisfaction. 1. To create a sequence of 12 images which you will later convert into an animated GIF file: 2. From the Main Menu select Animation/Make Movie. The Make Movie dialog box will reappear. 3. Set Sequence Type to IMAGE FILES, Resolution to FULL and Quality to CURRENT RENDER SETTINGS. 4. Click on OK. 5. A "Save As" dialog box will appear. a. First you need to determine the best file format to save these images in. If you're not planning anything fancy go ahead and select JPEG. The 12 images produced from this selection can be immediately converted into an animated GIF file using a program like GIF Construction Set Professional. An evaluation copy of this product can be downloaded from http://www.mindworkshop.com/alchemy/gifcon.html b. If you're planning on adding text to your images, or other layers of artwork, it would be best to save these 12 images in a file format that saves valuable picture information and doesn't compress the image as the JPEG file format does. Photoshop PSD would be a good choice, or perhaps the TIFF or BMP formats. c. After you've decided which file format to save your images in select it from the options provided in the "Save as type" drop down menu box. 6. Now type in an appropriate title. 7. Click on SAVE and Poser will begin rendering all twelve images, beginning with Frame 1. Again, depending on your render settings I would allow at least two to three hours to let Poser work it's magic. 8. After all twelve images have finished rendering you can either edit them further as you like in your favorite image manipulation program and then convert your final results into JPEG format or go right into a program such as the above-mentioned GIF Construction Set Professional to generate your full-rendered animated GIF. GIF Construction Set Professional is a very easy program to get started with. In addition it also allows you to convert AVI files into animated GIF files and vice versa. Following the simple instructions that come along with the program you should be able to generate very satisfactory results in no time at all. 9. And that's it. Voila! Mike and Vicky getting it on. Non-stop action! NOTES 1. Remember: Always SAVE early and often. 2. For further information on animating with Poser consult the Documentation that came with your copy of the software. 3. Michael 3.0 Base and Victoria 3.0 Base from DAZ Productions (www.daz3d.com) were utilized as the male and female figures to produce this collection of poses. Both characters were employed in their standard default configuration with no modifications to their original figures except for the 107% scaling of Michael to make him slightly larger than Victoria. Characters based on Michael and Victoria created with slightly different dimensions may need to be adjusted slightly in certain frames of the animation, primarily in order to keep hands and fingers from cutting into either of the two bodies. This issue will be addressed further in Note 7 below. 4. These poses were all saved with Morph Channels "ON" in order to produce such effects as bouncing breasts, squinting eyes, grinning smiles, et cetera. Care was taken to ensure that the only morph settings to be affected will be those that produce the actual animation effects. Make sure that both Mike and Vicky's figures are loaded with the appropriate morphs. To keep file size down you may choose to load just the individual morphs required or perhaps an entire class of INJ morphs (i.e. "All Chest-Breast" morphs for Vicky) as necessary for the pose in question. a. All of the necessary morphs for Vicky can be found in the following classes of INJ morphs: All Chest-Breast, All Expressions, All Glute-Hip-Abs. i. The individual morphs utilized for Vicky are as follows: CHEST: (All Chest-Breast) BrstCleavage BrstLieDwn2 BrstRotateIn BrstRotateUp COLLAR(S): (All Chest-Breast) pBreastNatural pBreastRaise pBrstLieDwn2 pBrstRotateIn pBrstRotateUp HEAD: (All Expressions) Blink Left Blink Right PartLips OpenLips MouthYell SmileOpen Mouth O HIP: (All Glute-Hip-Abs) GluteBig GluteRaiseR GluteRaiseL BUTTOCKS: (All Glute-Hip-Abs) pGluteFlexR pGluteRaiseR pGluteFlexL pGluteRaiseL b. All of the necessary morphs for Michael can be found in the following classes of INJ morphs: All Expressions, All Hip- Abs-Chest. i. The individual morphs utilized for Michael are as follows: HEAD: (All Expressions) Blink Left Blink Right PartLips OpenLips OpenMouth Smile1 SmileOpen BUTTOCKS: (All Hip-Abs-Chest) pGluteus GluteCreaseR GluteCreaseL pGluteFlexR pGluteRaiseR pGluteFlexL pGluteRaiseL 5. The animated pose files for the M3 Genitals (M3 GENS) will give Michael an instant erection, but you may want to give him a little more size too. Try the following dimensions and see if they measure up to your expectations: Scale the Penis_01 segment of the M3 Genitals to Z=150%. Scale Penis_02 to Z=200%. Scale Penis_03 to Z=120%. That SHOULD be enough to keep Vicky satisfied. 6. This product has also been tested with Satanica Inc.'s Real M3 Gens and should also be compatible with other genital props with the same similar geometry. By default each M3 GENS pose file is designed to work on the first three segments of the genital prop. If the particular prop you are using has more than three segments you can easily make minor adjustments to those additional segments to match the rest of the pose. It is best to make these minor adjustments right after Mike and Vicky have been "joined" together. Starting in Frame 1 you can step through the entire animation frame by frame by pressing either the right-arrow button to "Step Forward" one frame, or the left-arrow button to "Step Back" one frame. Click on the dark ridged tab at the bottom of your Poser 4 screen to open the animation control box. The Frame Counter in the middle of this box will always tell you what frame you are presently in. 7. Characters based on Michael and Victoria created with slightly different dimensions may need to be adjusted slightly in certain frames of the animation, primarily in order to keep hands and fingers from cutting into either of the two bodies. To make such necessary adjustments: a. Click on the dark ridged tab at the bottom of the Poser screen to open the animation control box. b. Make sure the animation is set to Frame One. Use the left and right arrows to Step Back and Step Forward as necessary. c. On the Main Menu select Animation/Loop Interpolation and make sure that Loop Interpolation is turned "OFF." d. Using the Left-Hand Camera View (CTRL+[), the Right Hand Camera View (CTRL+]), and whatever other camera views may help, advance from frame to frame carefully adjusting the Bend Angle and/or the Side-Side Angle on any hands or fingers that may be cutting into the bodies of the figures. e. You can also try adjusting the Bend Dial on the character's forearms if larger adjustments are necessary. Be very careful with this though. Such gross adjustments can end up producing a very jerky-looking appearance in your resulting renders. f. Turn Loop Interpolation back "ON." g. Run a quick test AVI to insure that the hands or fingers are no longer cutting into the figure. h. Make further adjustments as necessary. 8. Experiment with Vicky's breasts. Make them any size you want for spectacular effects! Be sure to adjust hands and fingers as necessary to prevent them from cutting into Vicky's enhanced chest. 9. While setting up and testing your animations be sure to make liberal use of your Camera Dots. You will find that, from frame to frame, sometimes the View Angle may radically shift. Save your preferred view in one of your Camera Dots and apply this view to any subsequent frames where the view has shifted to another angle. 10. For added realism try adjusting the various style morphs employed in the different hair props that you may be using with your characters. With "Loop Interpolation" turned ON, make your first adjustments in Frame 1. Advance to the mid- point of the animation, Frame 7, by using either your arrow keys or by entering the number 7 in the Frame Count box and then hitting ENTER. Now make your second set of adjustments to each of the selected style morphs. Make Frame 7 a key frame by clicking on the "Add Key Frames" plus sign symbol on the right-hand side of the animation box. To observe whether or not your hair morphs are moving in the fashion that you want them to just generate a quick AVI test file. Make further adjustments as necessary. 11.
