************************************************************ Read Me file: Games by Andrus63 Copyright (2012) Andrus63 ************************************************************ How to Install. To install, open the zip file. Drop the ?runtime? folder into your Poser or Daz Studio directory, and the files should install in their proper places. You can find the contents of this product under: Libraries/pose/Andrus63/Games and Libraries/face/Andrus63/Games The poses have not been tested on a Mac - they should work fine, but if you find a problem please let us know! They have been tested in Poser 7 and Poser 9, in Poser Pro 2012; and in Daz Studio 4. ************************************************************ How to use. These poses are designed to work with the DAZ 3D figures Michael 4 and Victoria 4; they do work with other figures, but will require adjustment. We strongly advise that you turn inverse kinematics and limits off, as otherwise poses will not all work. Load V4 and M4(s) so that ?body? translation and rotation parameters are identical, so that the figures overlap each other. Apply poses to the correct figures - they will move into position relative to each other. Use ?body? (not ?Hip?) to move figures around the scene. Keep the parameters identical for the different figures, and the groups will stay together. You could try parenting the figures to each other?s bodies to move as a unit, but we find V4 sometimes does odd things when parented to another figure, so it?s safer to parent the M4s to V4 if you want to try this. Poses are for the default M4 and V4. The large amount of contact between the figures means that several of the poses will need adjustment for morphed figures. There is no real way to avoid this. Similarly, they may need adjustment if the figures are clothed, and some may need adjusting for hair. It may be useful to use a magnet in some cases to ?squash? hair under a hand. ************************************************************ Expressions There are expressions to go with all the poses. In some cases you really need the correct expression for the pose, but for most the numbers are just suggestions. In addition, for a number of the poses there are two different expressions for V4. Changing between them can change the look considerably. Experiment and have fun. V4 expressions will work on M4, and vice versa, but the results may not look quite the same. The expressions do move the eyes, so the characters are looking where they should be looking! The expressions should not overwrite head morphs. The zeroes will only affect the basic expressions and the M++/V++ expression morphs, not any add-on packs you may have. ************************************************************ Genital poses The M4 genital poses are for the standard DAZ M4 genitals. Genital poses are included where the positioning is important. For other poses you can choose from any in the set. (Pose08-M4-1Gens is a good general one.) ************************************************************ Weightmapped V4 The V4 Weightmapped poses are intended for use in Poser 9 and Poser Pro 2012 only - they will not work in other programs. The weightmapped version (with helper bones) of V4 is available from Runtime DNA, here. http://www.runtimedna.com/WMV4.html There are slight differences between the look of the V4 Weightmapped and V4 Standard poses. Please note that most of the M4 poses are also slightly different between the two sets. Weightmapped V4 has helper bones in, amongst other places, her breasts. In poses 4 to 12 the breast helpers have been tweaked slightly to move the breasts. If you don't want this (for example if you would rather use morphs for breast movement) the ?Zero Helpers? pose removes the extra tweaking, but leaves any movement created by the basic pose. The easiest way to fit clothes to V4 Weightmapped with helper bones is to use the Poser Outfitter available free from Runtime DNA. http://www.runtimedna.com/Outfitter.html ************************************************************ Hair. Hair can be a problem when the head is in extreme positions. One option is to use dynamic hair, but this can take a lot of trial and error to get the right effect, and ears always seem to cause problems. Prop based hair can sometimes be repositioned. The final image will generally benefit from some postwork. We have found rather a useful technique that works with most ?ponytail? type hair props, provided there are separate material zones for the tail and the main hair. This approach works with the Forest and Flower Princess Hairs, the Bijou Hair and the Stephania hair, all from Daz. It should work with a number of others. Basically we attached 2 copies of the hair to V4, turned one upside down and then used the material room to make parts of each prop invisible. So, on the normal hair the ponytail and possibly the bangs (with associated wisps) are invisible, whilst on the upside down hair the skullcap and base are invisible. The position is adjusted, scales and morphs used to give the best look for the individual scene. The major difficulty is that Poser won't let you attach 2 hair props to the same figure. To get round this first re-save the hair you want to use as a normal (pp2) prop. Then you can give V4 as many copies as you like! When you try and parent a second or third copy to V4, you may get a warning about having two props with the same name - simply assign a new name to the new hair, as prompted by Poser, and it should be fine. Morphs in the hair seem to work all right after it's been re-saved, but for some reason you can't use the original mc6s in the material room to apply the textures, so we suggest you use one copy of the hr2 hair, then use copy and paste in the material room to copy textures to the prop. If you are using a figure-based hair you could parent (not conform) a second copy to V4, without having to re-save it, and treat it in the same way. Sorry ? we've not experimented enough with Daz Studio to see if this trick can be made to work in DS4 as well. ************************************************************ We hope you have fun with these poses.
