Q: A script? Isn't that difficult to use? A: No, you use it in the same way as you assign clothes. And as with clothing, you also assign different materials easily. Q: Is this a Geo Graft? A: Nope - it's just a shell. Well, .. "just" ... Take a look at the "What's included" section ... and forget about that "just" Q: Why does rendering take longer? A: This is due to the way I build up the materials (Refraction, TopCoat etc). But if you are patient when rendering, every second you have to wait will pay off twice and three times over. Q: Can I also use the product for male models? A: Yes - see the promos Q: Is a GF8 version planned? A: It was planned - but unfortunately the conditions for GF8 are fundamentally different from G9. Therefore there will be no GF8 version of this project. Q: How can I localize the tongue? A: Select and expand the model in the scene pane and search for “Genesis 9 Mouth”. Expand the mouth and you will see the “ToyTongue”. Q: Can I use several ToyTongues in one scene? A: Yes - if your scene contains 20 models, you can give each model their own ToyTongue. However, you can also assign several ToyToungues to a single model. Q: This means I can combine several ToyTongues? A: Yes! See below (Special FX) Q: What are the “XT” shapes - and what are they for? A: The “XT” shapes are based on the regular shapes, but are scaled, stretched or repositioned. You can use them like the regular shapes ... and also use the settings (see below) as examples and for learning. Q: What can the Special FX be used for? A: You can use them as normal materials or - much better - as an additional layer to make your scene more interesting. To do this, give your model two ToyTongues and assign a special FX material to the first and a material of your choice to the second. Q: How can I change the color or transparency? A: Start by locating and selecting the ToyTongue in the scene pane. Switch to the “Surfaces” pane, expand the ToyTongue materials and select the “Mouth” surface group. - A simple way to change the transparency, but also the color and glossiness, is to change the “Cutout Opacity” option. Scroll all the way down the list of options and carefully reduce the value. - Another way to change the transparency is to change the value of “Refraction Weight” (a little further up in the list). The higher the value, the more transparent the material. Just give it a try. - The color is a little more difficult, as small changes can have a big impact. You can change both the “Base Color” (at the top of the list) or the “Glossy Color”. The same applies here: experiment until you like the result. Q: How can I scale or reposition the materials? A: Start by locating and selecting the ToyTongue in the scene pane. Switch to the “Surfaces” pane, expand the ToyTongue materials and select the “Mouth” surface group. Scroll down the list of options until you see "Horizontal Tiles", "Horizontal Offset", "Vertical Tiles" and "Vertical Offset". - Reposition: - To reposition the material, use "Horizontal Offset" or "Vertical Offset" in small (!) steps. For most materials, you can also see the changes in “Texture Shaded” mode. - Scaling: - You can scale the material (shape) by changing the values of "Horizontal Tiles" and/or "Vertical Tiles". Smaller values increase the shape, bigger values scale the shape down. Keep in mind: if you change the “Tiles” options, the material moves. So first try out carefully in which direction the material moves when scaling. - Turn over (Flip): - If you reverse the value of the “Tiles” (i.e. -1.0 instead of +1.0), the material (shape) is flipped.
