I have been hacking the texture files for Golden Palace so that theyt better match particular characters, and, although I have had success in doing so, I realise that there are some parts whose purpose is unknown to me – I don't know where they end up!

Some of them are completely obvious, but others less so. For example I've no idea how 6 - 9 are used...

Using the numbers in the picture above could you please list what's what?

Thank you for the illumination.

When recolouring or retexturing do I need to be concerned with 6–9? I'm still not clear on how they are employed (sorry for being so stupid!)

7, 8, 9 are quite visible, 6 isn't much

What I would do is to duplicate the full layer, and on the top one that will be edited, set the vag and colon as transparent with some blend on the edge (if you want I can give you a map for trasparency), This way you'll keep the pink inside even if you darken the skin.

I think I've finally got it!

A transparency map would be enormously helpful if you can spare the time.

Thanks again!

Here it is! I apologize if I didn't test it, I'm quite short of time:

...but I think the result should be decent.

It is meant to be used as a layer mask. For example in Gimp you transform it to a selection using its channels, then you create a layer mask from it on the layer you need to filter.

Good luck!
