If you edit the material settings of your character's skin after applying the new gens. You don't need to delete the new gens and apply it again. Just run this script, then all the changes you have made will be applied to material of new gens :)

Thanks. I just need to find it in the rabbit warren of files and folders on my computer, then....

Hi 3feetwolf,

got a problem with these gens, Labia and inner gens appear in a bright blue, rektum itself is fine,
other chars and even other chars of the same artist also.
Though it is a nice blue, I prefer my female gens in more "traditional" colors...

I able to fix it manually by changing the related color and also have found other posts what
causes this problem.
Although I understand what I'm doing in daz3D sometimes, I'm not into all its inner workings.

I assume, if I change the name of the texture itself, so your gens are able to find it, the character
itself won't find it no longer when it is loaded originally without your gens ?
Or is there an easy way to fix this ?

Thanks,

Mike

Hi Mike, uh, I don't quite understand why you have to change the name of the texture?
Btw, could you give me the names or product links of these characters?

Wolfie, I know what he means. This happens on some of my renders as well, although not too frequently. The MR Growing Up product
from Daz does that, for example. Somehow the Normal map goes and replaces the Diffuse map. It's easy to fix it manually. I don't quite
understand the science behind that blue mutation though :)
"That was fun. Let's do it again."

Perhaps the script incorrectly identifies the type of textures. Could you give me the link?

Hi, I think it is fixable. Could you tell me which character you are using?

Thank you :)
Does the problem still persist?

Re-ran the latest script and all is well so far on V7, G7 and Star2 models now.  Had to make sure I read all the posts so as to not miss an update - no ones fault but my own....

Thanks for a job well done in maintaining the scripts and taking care of us on the forum!  Looking forward to others when you post 'em....

Hi, I didn't seem to have this problem when I applied new gens to Cathy. Do you have any other information?

Hm unfortunately no, it works on every other character I use.
I just load Cathy, select her, double click the new gens, then this happens. Also it doesn't take as long to load on Cathy than it does on characters where it's working fine.
Of course I could just change her skin, but I like her skin. :(
I'm rather new to all this, so maybe I'm just doing something wrong?

Another question: How can I make it more shiny and change the color, like in your product photo? Every time I'm trying to fiddle around with the color the skin around it changes too.

Best regards!

Hi, maybe you could try to install Cathy into another library and apply the new gens again?
There is a tutorial on how to change the labia color in the "Tutorials" folder, hope it helps you.
If you want to make it more shiny, you can try to adjust the Glossy and Top Coat parameters of the surface called "Labia Minora". Lights and camera settings are also essential.

Wow! That actually worked, thank you so much. Why is that, though? :o
Also thanks for the other tips, didn't see the tutorials folder the first time.

Hey, another question. Is it supposed to work on this character? Because it's only working on two of the secondcircle characters.

Hi 3feetwolf,

thanks for your answer, I will look at which character your product catches the normal map and send you the link.

Got another annoying question.

I got some Victoria 4 character skins which I use on a G2F base, use your Vic 6.0 new genitalia and even with
the Vic 4 UV map your product works fine and identifies the matching areas perfect.

Now I've bought myself this product that makes it possible to use the Vic 4 skins on a G3F base.

https://www.*deleted*.com/mod/bcs/legacy-uvs-for-genesis-3-v4/113767/

Works fine and the Vic4 skins look nice on the G3F base.

But when it comes to apply the Victoria 7.0 genitalia I encounter a problem.

If the UV map for the G3F base is set to Victoria 4 (to make the skin work proper), your programm denies to work,
because it identifies the Vic 4 UV map and comes up with this error.
If the UV map is set to Base female, which messes up the skin, your program does its work, but catches the
"messed up" skin area...which looks horrible...;)

I'm into proramming myself, but I have no deeper understanding of adapting UV maps (yet).

Is there a solution to make your program work in this constellation ?

Thanks in advance,

Mike

Edit:

Tried to set the UV map of the new genitalia itself and with "Teen Josie 7" it looks way better, but I got only 4 choices there
(Base, Vic 7, TJ 7, Eva 7), with a Vic 4 setting it might work, but again, I'm not really into UV mapping...

With this character I got the normal map problem (other post blue "inner organs")

https://www.*deleted*.com/mod/bcs/mdd-anabelle-for-g3-v7/117481/

an other character of him/her works fine...
