Q) what brought you into 3D?
I have always wanted to work with my imagination, and i love female wrestling- 3D is where i can express both!
Q) How did you choose your nickname?
BarbarianBabes.com is my website
Q) How long have you been creating your artwork?
Since 1999
Q) what are the specs of your render machine?
My main machine is a 3.7ghz i7, with 32 GB of RAM and hefty solid
state drive for work, I'm using windows 10.
Q)Poser or Daz Studio and why?
Poser Professional 11 currently. I create quite a bit of content every month and DAZ is too slow for my needs.
Q) Out of all the mediums why have you leaned toward making games?
Interactive entertainment is more expressive and fulfills my need to tell stories while creating exciting and challenging content.
Q) Out of all of your products, which has been your favorite?
I had so much fun making Leisure Slick Lenny, both part 1 and part 2 I'd have to say are near the top of my list.
Q) Have you had any thoughts about making “larger” games for mass media?
Absolutely. It's a balancing act between making games our customers are hungry for and cranking them out fast enough to satisfy, but I have some fantastic ideas for larger games- such as Harem Keeper,
where you run a harem, and Ninjazon Legends, a very in depth sexy ninja fighter RPG that goes way beyond the original.
Q) If you had to pick 1 product you made that you just wish you wouldn’t have made what would it be?
Evil Eve was a waste of time, I think she's kinda gross and I've never used her for anything.
Q) Your lap dance pose sets were great! any chance you’ll release more like that in the future?
Actually I'd like to invite other girls to dance for Michael, like Alyson, Dawn, Pauline and Miki to name a few.
Q) Tell us about your process of making one of your games.
I generally start with a core idea, fighter, wrestler, dating sim, action game etc, and then just start cranking out artwork. I generally make a lot more art than you'll see in the final game- a lot of it gets cut. I tend to discover and refine gameplay along the way, and sometimes my original idea ends up not working very well in practice so i'll pivot to something slightly different.
Q) What’s on the horizon for you? what do you have in the works you can tell us about?
I'm trying to get back to a real knock down drag out catfight wrestling game- but this type of game requires a ton of art and animation and if done incorrectly it becomes too big for a web game.
I also created a sexy Furry fighting game called Fur Fighter that looks like a cartoon and I'd really like to finish it.
Q)) Out of all the various art mediums why 3D?
3D to 2D allows me to create sprites for games at very high speed- if I were an analog artist I would need an entire team for this stuff. I also do the writing, sound editing, and programming so anywhere I can save time is always good.
Q) What are your plans for the future?
I'm expanding into Newgrounds.com and trying to find a wider audience for my games- sexy boxing or wrestling games practically do not exist, and I know there is a demand out there. Also I'd like to release more dating games.
Q) who are your favorite artists other than yourself?
On Renderotica i absolutely LOVE the world of Stimuli, those animated pose sets are perfect. For analog art I'd say one of my favorites of all time is Dorian Cleavenger, because his pinups seem like they could actually exist in a fantasy world, instead of just standing there like sexy mannequins.
Q) If someone reading this wants to start creating their own artwork what words of advice would you give them?
Play to your strengths! If you are really good with ink get a tablet and start cranking out comic pages/pinups/wallpapers whatever you can. Photoshop is an absolute must regardless of what you're doing. In the 3D space there is a lot of competition but if something comes naturally to you- stick to it!
Q) Do you have a job outside of 3D or do you consider this your full
time occupation? I have several clients that I have had for years, but it is all in a similar arena. Many 3D sites sell my products, some erotic some not at all. I also do web programming and game develop on commission and for my site at barbarianbabes.com.
Q) Speech time! any final words you have for your, fans and fellow 3D community?
I am very grateful for the support for my games and sexy content, and I hope folks are getting as much fun out of them as I had making them!
