====================================================================== L.I.E. Sound Punishment Overlays for Genesis 8 Female A package of 22 different L.I.E. presets showing spanking bruises on your Genesis 8 girls. It adds visual proof that they receive proper discipline. L.I.E. presets are easy to use without opening the layered image editor in DAZ studio or texture editing in Photoshop. The product is based on high-resolution texture sets that portray the effect of five types of punishment tools: Hand, Strap, Paddle, Cane and Whip. These texture overlays are mostly transparent and placed on a geometry shell which works for any Genesis 8 Female. Just load the geoshell on the figure and select one or more overlays. They are stackable, meaning multiple overlays can be active at the same time. E.g. give her a proper whipping on the back, the tits and on the bottom. Sometimes this is just what she needs ... The intensity of the punishment can be adjusted using the opacity slider in the geoshell surface settings. The PBR texture sets were created with substance painter according to real life references. Every set contains base color, grayscale bump, normal, roughness and opacity map. This ensures realistic appearance for any lighting and camera scenario. There are skin blending presets for the following characters: Genesis 8 Base Victoria 8 Olympia 8 Monique 8 By selecting the right blending preset, the overlays will appear authentic on any character with a skin tone that is close to the corresponding characters' skin tone. This covers most of the Genesis 8 characters out there. When using the overlays on a character with a distinctly different skin tone, the surface settings of the geoshell may have to be adjusted manually. This is easy when following the instructions in this readme document under 'Tips'. The product also includes 'mirror presets', that load the L.I.E. overlays flipped horizontally. This creates the appearance that the strokes were applied from the other direction. Mirrored and not mirrored overlays can be combined freely. ... Installation: 1. Unzip the contents of the 'My Library' folder to your DAZ Studio library folder. Keep the folder structure of the archive intact. 2. Open DAZ Studio and update your content database to get this product into Smart Content. From the 'Content Library' pane: - Open the options menu (top-right corner of this pane, looks like a triangle with 4 lines) - Select 'Content DB Maintainance' - Select 'Re-Import Metadata', de-select all else - Select from list: "LOCAL USER FTD SoundPunishmentOverlays" (de-select all else) - Click accept - Find your product in the 'Smart Content' pane Usage: 1. Open the product 'FTD Sound Punishment Overlays' in the 'Smart Content' pane. 2. Select a G8F based target figure in the 'Scene' pane. 3. Load the geometry shell on it by double clicking 'SPO Geoshell' in smart content. 4. Select the geometry shell in the 'Scene' pane (called 'SPO_Geoshell', it is parented to the figure) 5. Load one of the overlays by double clicking it in smart content (takes time to load, L.I.E. textures are being created). 6. Multiple overlays can be stacked by loading them the same way. This works best by choosing only one overlay per body part (e.g. one for the butt and one for the back). Do not load the same overlay twice (it will stack double on the L.I.E. textures). Stacking many overlays can be slow, especially when reloading the scene. 7. The geoshell is reset by loading 'Reset Geoshell Material' with the geoshell selected. The active L.I.E. textures are discarded and new overlays can be loaded. Tips: - Matching the skin color of characters: - Choose the blending preset of the character that is closest to the skin tone of the target character ('Skin Blending: ...'). - Try adapting translucency weight first (higher value: darker skin, lower value: fairer skin). Avoid very high (>0.9) and very low (<0.3) values. - If the result is not satisfactory: Set translucency back to default (0.4) and adjust the base color value (this is multiplied to the texture channel by channel). Try to match the texture color to the skin texture of the target character (this is visible in 'texture shaded' view mode). After that tune the translucency weight again. - If still not happy: Tuning 'SSS Reflectance Tint' slightly has great effect (use very desaturated and bright colors only, just try shifting the hue). - Other things to try (probably not required): Adapt translucency color to match settings from target character. Match volume settings of target character (tuning this freely is tricky). - Most of the overlays are somewhat intense at default settings. If intensity is too high, it can be reduced using the opacity value slider of the geoshell. (Surfaces -> Torso -> Geometry -> Cutout Opacity; lower opacity: less intense spanking) - Problems with other geometry shells: Artifacts can appear if geometry shells intersect. Solution: separate the shells by adjusting the 'Mesh Offset' value for one of them (under parameters). - Dark skin colors: Load 'Skin Blending: Monique 8' first. The reddening of the overlays is much less intense here, which is realistic. For dark skin, the main effect of the overlays is to create the bump effect for the bruises. If they still appear to reddish or too bright, try lowering the opacity first, then darken the base color a bit more. - Problem in combination with 3rd party products that use anatomy attachments (e.g. Golden Palace from Meipe): The SPO geoshell will be visible as gray overlay on the additional surface zones created by the other product. This happens because the default settings of the geoshell surfaces don't make it fully transparent (not a good choice from DAZ). Simple Solution: Find the surface zones causing the problem in the surface settings of 'SPO_Geoshell'.
