DS4 has features that you don't know ... now you will meet the GEOMETRY SHELL power.

Designed to be UV mapping and character independent, "TANLINE for G2F" will add that important details to your renders. Easy to use, highly customizable, it will not use the Layered Image Editor (LIE) resources from G2F char, that allows the use of another skin modifiers products, like "DAZ's Skin Builder Pro", to add makeup or tattoos.

This product is compatible with DAZ's Genesis 2 Female Genitals, Poison's AnusGen2, SledgeHammer's OMGDK FemGen and 3feetwolf's New Genitalia For Victoria 6.

REQUIREMENTS

-Daz Studio 4.6.3.50 with the default content installed on Windows or MAC.
-Genesis 2 Female.

Provided presets :
Body: Corset 1, Corset 2, Swinsuit 1, Swinsuit 2, Swinsuit 3, Swinsuit 4, Swinsuit 5, Swinsuit 6;
Bottom: Bikini 1, Bikini 2, Bikini 3, Bikini 4, Mini Shorts 1, Mini Shorts 2, Panty 1, Panty 2, Panty 3, Panty 4, Swinsuit Bottom 1, Swinsuit Bottom 2 and _NO Bottom Tan;
Top: Bikini Top 1, Bikini Top 2, Bikini Top 3, Bikini Top 4, Bikini Top 5, Bra 1, Bra 2, Corset Top, Mini Bikini Top, Mini Top 1, Mini Top 2 and _NO Top Tan;
Effect : 17 presets to blur, adjust the level and protect areas. There are also Iray optmized material sets.

You will find it in "People\Genesis 2 Female\Materials\TANLINE G2F".

Installer provided to help the newbies DS4 users.

INSTALLING THE FILES

There is an automatic installer named "INSTALL_TANLINE_for_G2F.dse". Three ways to execute it :
- Close any DS4 instance and double click the file "INSTALL_TANLINE_for_G2F.dse", it will launch DS4 and install the product (PC only);
OR
- Open DS4, resize it window, drag and drop the file "INSTALL_TANLINE_for_G2F.dse" in the preview area. (PC and Mac);
OR
- Open DS4, menu "File->Open", locate the file "INSTALL_TANLINE_for_G2F.dse" in your computer and accept it. (PC and Mac)

You must click on the "Accept" button of the Metadata Dialog, or the metadata will not be installed.

INSTALLING THE FILES  - MANUAL (Use only if the installer doesn't work for any strange reason)

You must unzip the provided archive to your active Content Folder*.

Installing Genesis stuff is an easy task. It's just like you do with poser files. The difference is that you don't place the files in your "Runtime" folder, you will place it in your active Content Folder* from Daz Studio 4.6.

-Decompress the provided zip file in a folder;
-Select and copy the CONTENT of the "My Library" folder (DO NOT COPY the "My Library" folder itself);
-Go to your active Content Folder* ;
-Paste the previous copied stuff and click "Yes" to replace/add the files. ** MAC USERS ** - You must use a MERGE option here, or your Content Folder may be replaced.

* HOW TO DISCOVER YOUR CONTENT FOLDER PATH : open DS4, right click the "Content Library" tab, select "Content Directory Manager". Open the "DAZ Studio Formats" tree. The first path listed there generally is the best option to be used.

INSTALLING METADATA - MANUAL (Use only if the installer doesn't work for any strange reason)

This step is optional, intalling metadata will help on your workflow.

As this product don't have a executable installer you will need to manually process the Metadata:
- After install the product files, run DS4.6 and locate the "Content Library" tab;
- Right-click over the label "Content Library" and choose "Content DB Maintenance";
- Choose "Re-import metadata" and click "Accept";
- Expand the "Product" item, uncheck all products, check the "Poison's_G2F_Tan_Line" product and click "Accept".
The metadata will be installed.

USAGE

You will find the product files in "People\Genesis 2 Female\Materials\TANLINE G2F".

1- load G2F, apply the material set. If you will use any geografted genital it's a good time to add it to G2F;
2- select G2F and apply the "Add Tan Line" preset;
3- select the TAN shell and load a bottom, a top and/or a body preset;
4- refine the tan effect using the "Effects" presets, you can adjust the tan level, blur and/or protect nipples area.

-about TAN LEVEL : Sometimes is hard to identify the TAN Shell over bright G2F texture sets on the preview window. Use a Hi level tan preset to prepare your scene and decrease the tan level before render.

-about PROTECT : these presets are used to avoid excessive paling of certain areas when a hi tan level is used.

-about Shell Offset : When your G2F texture uses hi displacement level you may see some intersections over the TAN Shell. To avoid it you must increase a little the TAN Shell offset. ( TAN Shell -> Parameters Tab -> Mesh Offset -> Offset Distance ).

-Sometimes, when using a geografted genital, you will must to re-apply the bottom preset after apply a top preset.

-If you change the G2F's texture set to another one that uses a different UV mapping, you will need to reapply any tan preset to correct the TAN shell UV mapping.
